I hear him howling even now…. Our Little Little Red is now more or less living in our shed. He is also getting tamer. This could lead to disaster… but I’m on top of it. Sort of. I hear him howling now….

He is probably chattering and barking to you to bring out the peanuts! Terrific capture! Sandy

  • It worked then, it cost me a fortune to keep them all fed.

    Lovely shot. Really sweet.
I’m off to the Cairngorms myself in the spring. Would love to see some red squirrels.

  • We are back there again in May George. If you want to see them ,the best place is to park next to the Rothiemurchus visitor centre and just stroll down the road opposite signposted Tullochgrue and Black Park and look near the first houses 100 yards on the right…or hang around the entrance to Loch an Eilean car park..the guy there feeds the birds and the squirrels come there regularly. We had at least 7 different squirrels to our garden, every day!!! If you want to know good places foe Ptarmigan, b mail me…Jamie
