The parish church of St Michaels and All Angels in Hawkshead in the English Lake District,
which was built in around 1300 on the site of a Norse Chapel. The bulk of the building, as it exists today, is 16th and 17th century. It occupies an elevated position looking out over open country including the central Lake District Fells..it also has fine views of Latterbarrow, the summit cairn of which can be seen on the skyline behind the church.
