Windermere in the English Lake District National Park as seen from the ferry terminal at Lakeside.
I had taken the steam train from Haverthwaite to this point and then followed the footpaths to Finsthwaite. You can also catch the ferry from here to Bowness and Ambleside (the latter being at the opposite end of this 10 mile long lake (England’s longest)

I love this place. I love the fact that jetskis are not allowed. I love the way the ferry operators do interesting things to entertain travellers…. Not Busking . A fine shot.

  • Thanks,I’m glad you also agree with the speed ban…noisy beggars want shooting!

We did the same ride Jamie, train and ferry and you have really captured the

mood. Our daughter worked at Bowness in 1996 without knowing anything of
the family history as I didn’t start that till 2000. Such a shame. Great pic!

  • Thanks Roy,I passed on the ferry ride,I went on foot to Stott Park via Finsthwaite, great walk.
