St Paul’s church , Rusland,is in the south of the Lake District National Park .Consecrated in 1745,its history can be found here
Of interest is that it contains the grave of Arthur Ransome ,the author of Swallows and Amazons and many other books.

    Beautiful shot of a pretty country church. And very interesting Arthur Ransome connection. I have an elderly copy of OLD PETER’S RUSSIAN TALES, but never knew more than basic biog facts about Ransome.
