Tarn on other summits This is part of a series of Fell Terrier shots for an upcoming calendar with my little Patterdale Terrier Tarn on different fell (or mountain) summits…Patterdale Terriers are one of 2 breeds of Fell Terrier, the other being Lakeland Terriers, both originating in the English Lake District. Tarn is named after the tarns (small bodies of water) in the Lake District, where she was born and lives.
They are a very hardy breed despite their small size, and she loves nothing better than to walk for miles on our fells and the Scottish mountains…
High Stile is above Buttermere in the north-western fells of the Lake District National Park.

  • katy, I’m sorry you’ve been poorly and I’m delighted my Tarn has greeted your return..I felt it was time to put some more of her up (or back)…I’ve been a bit in the wars myself and am confined to quarters….
