I’ve never seen an inebriated spider. Did you take any after shots?
Voltaire Carlos replied
Haha no the blood system of spiders are different to us humans the alcohol simplyy burned its innards.
Peter Martin
that ringlite flash gives a funny effect in his eyes – he looks like he’s staring at you!
Voltaire Carlos replied
I know I tried to shoot without one so technically it turns out correct, but due to bad lighting and at 4X I had to use the flash.Tthanks for pointing ou that it has that effect.
Peter Martin
I am at that crossroads too. I don’t have a ringlite, just a normal off-shoe bracket that I can swing forwards to get over the lens. I’ve tried using the diffuser and white card to spread the flash, but I still get that erie 3-d with sharp angular shadows, which doesn’t look good.
Any ideas?
Anyway, how did you do 3X? Are you using a bellows?
Voltaire Carlos replied
Sorry I reread your comments and you don’t have a 65 MPE as this is what I used for 3X.
As for the flash if you have another flash and controllable by your primary wirelessly and a custom bracket to create a twinlite flash situation—aah too complex just get a ringlite or twinlite its worth it..
Peter Martin
i still think this is a really cool photo – it is the clearest macro i have seen – make this your avatar – then we’ll all know its You !! 8-)
