I love your perspective when it comes to this photo. The bare deciduous trees create a great contrast with the clody sky, The atmosphere is superb, almost like an incomming storm but with a new lease on life on the other side.

An exceptionally fine photograph Vonnie, it is as if the trees are clothed in the clouds you have captured, remarkable complementarity between trees and sky. Love the brooding colours, how jealous I am of all the subtle light you guys get, here it is bright bright bright! Loved trawling through your shots, you have a wonderful eye.

I don’t think this is gloomy at all, as a couple of people said. It reminds me of snow approaching (I like snow).

Hi. I love how the shapes of the tree are echoed by the shapes of the cloud and how the tones play off each other. It’s a very strong and elemental image. Peace and danger both inherent in it.

I love this for the ominous and the spooky shapes of the trees on the cloud dark background, great composition and brilliant capture:-}

An instant favourite – the clouds behind those trees almost look like leaves… there must be a great title in that somewhere… something to do with filling out the empty branches… ‘Filling the void’ perhaps :-)
