Many years ago I lived in the Virginia for 3 years and fell in love with both the cardinal and the blue jay. Our home backed onto a dogwood forest, which the cardinals inhabited in abundance. So it is wonderful to see your stunning photo of a cardinal ~brings back many wonderful memories.
I just love the way you have captured him/it sitting amidst red berries; a wonderful reflection of the red feathers.

When I saw this I thought, “hey, that’s my photo” but of course, it’s not, it’s in focus. I took an almost identical, but blurry, photo of a red cardinal in a red berry tree last winter in the big park by my house. You have not taken a photo, you’ve made art. It’s lovely.
