Artist's Description

I was driving along a country road, and felt like I had just entered a different period in time, as if by time travel.
This abandoned caboose sat on a strip of unused track in Courtland, Alabama. I took a few shots from the outside, but once I climbed aboard, the light flooding in through the window filled my imagination with days past when this caboose was in full steam operation hooked up with the engine and the rest of the trains cars. I can imagine the operator sitting at the table with the lamp on, looking at train schedules, gearing up for the next arrivals and departures.

I love the way the light was coming in the window, casting a warm glow and lighting up the car. I also had a really nice view down the tracks, on a really beautiful day. I love the textures and details of the car.
