  • Thank you, Carla. This was taken at the end of October, and it was my vacation, so yes, of course it rained much of that week. Although many of the autumn leaves were wet and fallen to the forest floor, the fungi was gorgeous. I was having trouble getting down low enough, as my knee was giving me pains. But, this ring on a log was just waiting for me to capture it.

    perfect timing then! :o) I often find fall to be the BEST time to find the colors out there. I can relate to the knee issues….arthritis and me just don’t get along either when it comes to needing to kneel for JUST THAT photo. :o) thank you for sharing this wonderful parchment fungi at it’s peak time of beauty
