Black Beauty by Lisa G. Putman
Clear

I know this swallowtail butterfly is probably not a black butterfly, because in the sun, it tends to have a bit of a transparent brown cast, but in the bright sun, they appear black to me. I’ve always love the deep contrast of the blue and orange markings on it’s wings, especially when contrasted against the green leaves and flowers it chooses to visit.

Canon EOS 30D DSLR, 70-200 f/2.8 L series lens, with 2X EXT, Focal length, 235 mm, f/8.0, 1/50, ISO rating 200, no tripod….too busy chasing this one, to set up the tripod. :-)
