Naïveté
I crossed paths with this handsome young buck in velvet while hiking deep in the woods of Cades Cove, Smoky Mountains, Tennessee, USA. He seemed to be such a gentle creature, enjoying the new leaves of spring. He allowed me to photograph him for quite a while, as long as I stood very still. He always kept one eye on me as he enjoyed the tender vegetation.

very sweet though his wee velvet antlers are on the bit of the small side if you look at my stag with his full velvet antlers. You have captured this young one wonderfully! beautifull clarity in the eye.
