I think the debate on fast-food and all it’s associated issues has died down somewhat – you would really have to keep yourself regularly updated from as many sources as possible, in order to be fully aware of the overall situation with the rainforests for example, and all the different legislations involved. What it comes down to I suppose, is consumer choice. Whilst there are some people who seek to highlight destruction in the environment, and the connections between that destruction, and the self-destruction of a diet of fats and sugars, there are others who quite happily watch it all happen, and get on with consuming to dangerous excesses. The outcome of it all is unpredictable, because it is everyone’s own choice as to what to buy and what to eat. It’s when others bad habits begin to affect the rest of us aversely that it becomes our problem. When it comes down to it, there’s always enough difficulties close enough at hand to be dealing with, that others concerns can seem far off – I have to admit also that there have been times when some established fast-food restaurant was the only place I could get a cup of tea, late on a Sunday night, when I’d be hitch-hiking in the rain, so, I’m not having a go at these places altogether either.
Anyway, this is a burger joint near where ‘The Evil Dead’ was shot!
