Another location in my series of Sydney suburban waterfalls.

It never ceases to amaze me that waterfalls like this one can and do exist in suburban sydney, to be able to park your car at the end of a street amongst the houses and walk a few hundred metres into bushland (in this case Garigal National Park).

The afternoon sun was shining directly onto the face of these falls which really brought out the texture, shine and colour of the rocks.

These falls are on Frenchs Creek in Belrose, Sydney Australia. This is the lower falls a couple of hundred metres downstream from an even bigger, higher set of falls. Apparently these are the biggest in Sydney behind Oxford Falls.

Beautiful capture. I can’t choose which is best between this one and Gloss II either. They are both great captures. Thanks for highlighting the falls in Sydney, I didn’t know they existed.

  • Thanks for looking and commenting Christina. This one is slowly becoming my favourite of the two.
Sydney has many waterfalls that most people don’t know about, thats why i decided to photo as many as i can find. You can see others i have photographed in my portfolio.
    Thanks also for the favourite.

Gosh, missed this one! I think this one appeals to me just a smidge more because I like the more diagonal lines in this perspective. Both are terrific, though!

  • Thanks very much Tula. This one is my favourite of the two also.
