A Sunshine Coast teaser. We’ve been hearing this for weeks now but the rain never comes. South East Queensland recording the driest August on record .For those of us on rainwater tanks it’s getting desperate. Half the community has ordered water in. At $150 we are keeping our fingers crossed and serious rations are in place.
Forecast for the coming week???
Sunny til Wednesday then… cloudy with a chance of rain!
Well we’ve just had our driest October in 6 decades and I think it has only rained once since August. I sat in my veranda room watching the lightening and rain cross the sky and cried with relief. It was only then I realised how stressful it had been. That rain was only enough to last a few weeks and we are back to desperate again. Today driving home from work I saw a “hire a loo” delivery truck and quickly wrote the number down (no water means no loo) or we’ll be digging a hole in the garden. The reality and only downside of living on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
