Fine Dining

ARTIST STATEMENT

I live beside beautiful lake Cootharaba in Boreen Point, Queensland, just fifteen minutes north of Noosa. The area is a rich bounty of beaches, rivers and glorious hinterland… truly beautiful. I feel blessed to live here.

My work is an eclectic mix of styles with an emphasis on contemporary abstract. A self taught mixed media artist, I predominantly work in acrylics including Printed Acrylic Skins. Printing, photography and collage provide relief from the intensity of my layered work and I love the immediacy of the camera as a tool to capture in seconds what could take me weeks to produce in the studio.

The main subject that drives me are shapes and patterns that convey a sense of movement, energy and place as well as garnishing images derived from nature to produce work that shar…

ART MARKET - NOOSA JAZZ FESTIVAL

YOUR INVITED!

JAZZ & ART – Saturday 1st September 9am-4pm at the Noosa Marina
Browse the local art on display while enjoying popular Jazz music by the
Chardonnay Sippers

Those who follow me will notice I have been a bit quiet of late. This is because I have been preparing for the Noosa Jazz and Art market that is coinciding with the Noosa Jazz Festival this coming weekend.

Thus I have been busy placing orders with RB, receiving delivery’s from RB and measuring, sourcing and pricing items for the stalls set up.

If we can access Wi Fi I’m hoping to have my daughter there giving RB tours on her lap top while I man the stall. I thought this would be a great promo for the uninitiated.

See you there!

Earth Walk

How To – Earth Walk

Here is a great solution for those moments when you are feeling perplexed, stuck in a rut, need answers to questions or are unsure what direction to take etc;

Think of a question you need answered (only one question at a time).
Be clear/specific… perhaps write it down.

Find a place you feel comfortable and safe walking with your head and eyes down.
It could be the beach, river, bush, field or your own back yard or street.

Take off you shoes! You need to feel the earth between your toes.

At the starting point think of your question, then clear IT and EVERYTHING ELSE from your mind.

Start walking with your head down and your eyes on your feet.
DON’T BE TEMPTED TO LOOK UP TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING (remember you are in a safe place). KEEP YOUR MIND CLEAR.
