While walking around the town today, I passed up this beautiful nativity in front of one of the many churches in this area. When I walked up to get a closer look, I noticed there was no baby Jesus. It makes me wonder what might have happened to Him. One thing I do know is He is not the One who is lost today. He came to save those who are.
All that I want is in Jesus;
He satisfies, joy He supplies;
Life would be worthless without Him,
All things in Jesus I find.

Breathing is more miraculous than anything that takes our breath away.

It is my hope to always bring out something good and positive in all that I do! Despite our outward differences of faith, religion, culture, or even global location, one thing we all as humans embrace is a sense of acceptance, and belonging. Our art is an expression of who we are and a language that needs no words. It is my hope that my work depicts all that is loving and positive in which to edify others. I give all my thanks to my God who has uniquely and wonderfully created us in His image.

    Beautiful scene!
    It’s quite common here in the Philippines to also have a Nativity scene without the Baby Jesus. Usually the baby figure is added during the Christmas eve mass to commemorate the birth of Jesus.

  • Thank you Baby, that’s a beautiful custom but I’m not sure it’s true here, many people just take it to be spiteful I think. Many want the benefits of Christmas without the reason for the season.

    Hi Vigor, Thanks for your upload to the challenge! Great. Around here the nativity scene is allways without Jesus untill christmas, when he is born. I think they even keep out the visiting kings untill the 6th of januari.

  • Thank you Woepi, I’m hearing of this custom in other countries, but I’ve never known this to be true here in America. I think people may take the baby out of spite for only God knows the reasons why! Sad!!!

    Many people don’t put the infant in place until Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.

  • Never thought of that! I hope that’s the case here!
