How Much is a Miracle?

I love to share these inspirationals by Godvine. Miracles will only happen if you believe in them like this little girl did. I pray you have a miracle this year!
God Bless,

“And Peter said to him, ‘Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.’ And immediately he rose.” – Acts 9:34

Do you remember every miracle from the Bible? It would be hard to, there are so many! God has given us an abundance of miracles over the history of the world and He will give us many, many more. Have faith and pray, He is listening to you.

Out of the mouths of babes it has been said. This little boy in his naive innocence still knows more about God than most adults ever learn. His knowledge could only be given by inspiration from God Himself. I think after reading this you will agree. I pray this brings a smile to you today!

Mary's Song

Now that Christmas day is over, may we take time in the coming new year, to reflect upon the Grace of our Lord, Christ Jesus and give Him an attitude of gratitude for giving us the ultimate gift, that will never expire…eternal life!

Even though Christmas is over, our celebrations and joy should not be! Let us give thanks for being able to enjoy celebrating the birth of our Savior – but also look forward to the celebrating the new year that’s coming!

His Unfailing Presence

I want to wish everyone a blessed, joyous and prosperous new year. We just never know what the future holds, but when we walk with Jesus, we do know Who holds the future!

Devotional by Godvine

“Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.” – Psalm 66:8-9

As we think about what’s to come in the new year, let us be strengthened by the knowledge that the Lord will be ever at our side. Jesus walks with us through life – and He will even carry us if we don’t need it!

His Unfailing Presence

The Holy Infant

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’” – Luke 2:10 -11

So many years ago, a Savior was born to us! Let us give thanks and celebrate the most miraculous gift of God, Jesus Christ, His Son and our Lord! God Bless you and enjoy this wonderful day!

He is Found by Those Who Seek Him

He is Found by Those Who Seek Him

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6 NKJV

To seek Jesus is to seek reality. He not only has directions for us to follow, but He is the pathway upon which we travel.

He not only has things to say to us, but He is the Truth we seek to know.

He not only has the answers for our existence, but He is the Eternal Life that we so desperately seek.

A glorious truth of Scripture is the certainty that if we seek after the Lord we will not be disappointed. Seekers are finders. The beauty of God’s promise is what we find and Who we find as the result of our seeking.

We not only find peace, but we also find the Prince of Peace.

We not only find righteousness, but we also find the Righteous One.

We not only find counsel, but…

His Star - One True Light

The story of Christmas is real, God came to earth as a baby who gave up His divinity in heaven and became poor and humble so that we could inherit eternal life. God’s word does not contradict itself, as it cannot, God can not lie. His plan for salvation took 4,000 years from the time of Adam and Eve to be fulfilled in prophesy. You and I are now the ones who know what the mystery of God is all about. If you have believed and received Christ into your life, you have been giving the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit to understand just how important this Christmas story truly is. May His true Light shine in your life this Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you!!!

For you, my Bubbler Friends,
One of the things I think make Christmas so special is the way it brings the world together with a common goal…to extend joy and peace throughout the world. Since being on Red Bubble it has expanded my horizons of the world when I meet so many beautiful people from all over~it has made me realize that we all as humans still have so much in common. I am thankful that art and photography has been that common goal that ties us together like a beautiful bow upon a beautifully wrapped package.

Condolences for Sandy Hook Families

I saw this address on the Today Show for anyone wishing to send a card of condolences to the families of the victims at the shooting in Newtown CT last week. This is a chance to show a random act of kindness to those are suffering such a loss this Christmas.

What you can tell your heart when the world seems dark…

The incident that took place this past week at Newtown CT has effected all of us. Some may be wondering where was God that He would allow such a thing to happen. But we forget that He is with us and He has given all of us free will for the choices we make in life. Our choices whether good or bad all have consequences. God is not the One Who failed us but rather it’s we who have failed God by allowing Him to be removed from our homes, our nation and even some of the churches. As a result, we have separated ourselves from Him and at times like this, we want to blame everything bad that happens on Him. This is wrong thinking and believing. God sent His only Son to die on our behalf so that we may live…should we choose to receive this gift. There are consequences to every choice w

Ten Things God Wants You to Remember

At this time of year, we tend to get wrapped up in the Christmas season and don’t stop to think about the reason for it. Without Christ, it wouldn’t be Christ…mas. It’s the day that God came to earth to dwell among men and preach a gospel of His Grace, His divine and unmerited Grace. It is God giving man what they don’t deserve. This was the first gift of Christmas, it wasn’t the jingle bell in the Polar Express.
Imagine knowing that your destiny on earth was to die? Jesus knew this as He fulfilled His Father’s will in saving men from their separation from God due to sin. This is the new covenant message which far outpasses the old covenant message, which was man trying to earn his salvation by forgiveness of sins through the blood of goats and bul

This article is not a typical one as it came to me via email today. This is written by a journalist from Town Hall magazine and as I come alongside him in this prayer, I thought I would share it with you and perhaps you will also come in agreement.

A Prayer for Sandy Hook
By Matt Barber

Dec 17, 2012

In light of the horrific developments in Newtown, Conn. – developments so sorrowful that no words will do – I felt it only appropriate to pull my regular column for this week. I offer, instead, the only words I can at this inexpressibly mournful time: A simple prayer. ~ Matt Barber

Please come, Lord Jesus.

Come, King Jesus.

Come soon I pray.

Yet, even still come now, Holy Spirit, until such time.

We need You.

Twelve Days of Christmas

If you’re like me, you love to sing this song, but whatever does it mean? This may give us the answers to this timeless Christmas song, The Twelve Days of Christmas!!!

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won’t come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

Where's the line to see Jesus?

This came to me via email and it was one that I wanted to share with you too. If you love Christ as I do, this will put Christ back into Christmas. He is the real reason for the season! I hope you enjoy this!!!

About the Song

While at the mall a couple of years ago, my then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom,
“where’s the line to see Jesus”?

My sister mentioned this to my dad, who immediately became inspired and jotted words down to a song in just a few minutes. After putting music to the words, and doing a quick recording at home, he received a great response from friends. He sent
the song off to Nashville without much response, e…

When Our Hearts Were In Need

Wonderment at the mysteries of Christ’s words and works is one of the threads that runs through Luke’s gospel, such as Luke 2:33; “A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, and the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:47-49; “And all who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers. When they saw Him, they were astonished; and His mother said to Him, ‘Son, why have You treated us this way? Behold, Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You. And He said to them, ’Why is it that you were looking for Me: Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”

Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends

What’s Hanukkah without traditional latkes? Celebrate the festival of lights with our rendition of finger-licking good latkes. They’re a holiday staple.

Please click here to view your Christmas card

Christmas is a special time for most people. It’s a time to feel the love and generosity, not only in the giving, but also in receiving it. Why is this? God set His love abroad in the hearts of all men, everywhere to prepare a place for Himself through His Son called Jesus. Christmas is all about Jesus and that love from God. When we speak of ‘Peace, and Goodwill toward men’, this is exactly what it’s all about. I pray that you will find this true Christmas peace and goodwill in your heart and give thanks to the Lord for the ultimate love He gave to you. This is my wish for everyone this Christmas.

Rejoice This Christmas

Devotional by Day Spring

I love Christmas, it is a wonderful time to ponder on the true gift that set all people free from the bondage of sin, death and hell. That gift is in the person of Christ. For those who know Him and love Him this is an especially special time of year. If you don’t yet know Him, He is always knocking on the door of your heart, and all you need do is just open it up and invite Him in.

Getting Rid of Your Guilt for Good

I’m sure I’m not alone with this one. Guilt always has a way of rearing its ugly head, especially now around the holidays. We want to give nice gifts to the ones we love and care the most about and we often go overboard, am I talking to anyone out there? I really hate worrying about the guilt of spending money when I know this year I have been blessed and can do it. I don’t spend money frivolously but this time of year it’s a given to spend more. I am trying harder to recognize the God Who gives me these blessings and to thank Him for His precious gifts and then I toss my worries aside and stop feeling like I robbed a bank or something. I find that in my Christian walk, thankfulness is the one most important thing we can do to honor God. I am thankful that I have a…

How do you know when to say yes and when to say no?

Inspirational by Heart to Heart

There are many things to consider before we commit to something and I thought these were some pretty good questions we should ask when we just aren’t sure what we should do. I have always liked what Joyce Meyer says when you feel God is leading you to do something and you feel afraid. She says, “Do it afraid!” The thing that God wants us to do is grow in Him and that takes trusting Him. I have learned that we cannot rely on our ‘feelings’ to make a right decision. Feelings are fickle and change all the time. So like this says, often times, if we do feel afraid, it’s most likely a sign to continue going forward and not running back. If you are faced with some life changing decisions, perhaps the best thing to do is do it a

The Gift of Grace

Jesus Is Full Of Grace

For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith – and this not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8

One Thousand Gifts
- An Invitation to Thankfulness -

It was a dare, like a love dare of sorts, and I take it one clear November morning. It is the beginning of list season. Lists of holiday menus, handmade projects, have-to-buys.

She dares me, and I don’t blink. Could I write a list of a thousand things I love? I read her line again. To name one thousand blessings – one thousand gifts – is that what she means?

I grab a scrap paper and flip it over. Across the backside, on a whim, a dare, I scratch it down: Gift List. Not of gifts I want to buy but of gifts I already have.

A letter to God

I got this via email and I thought it was worth sharing. The loss of a pet is not easy for anyone and especially a child. But, whoever responded was someone of great compassion and understanding and knows how God feels about all of us, even down to our pets.

Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog?
She died yesterday and is with you in heaven.
I miss her very much.
I ‘m happy that you …

A Thanksgiving Story

Devotional by Godvine

This may sound like a goody goody story that some of you may be skeptical of, but I know as one who has been without at times, witnessed how God moves people to move on your behalf just when you need it most. There really are earthly angels here, believers and non-believers alike. Now, when I have a chance to repay that kindness to someone else I also know God is using me.
God will use who He chooses. Perhaps He will use you to lift someone up today.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

God gave us so many wonderful gifts – don’t you agree? :) So why not take some time to give th

I’m sure by now you have heard of the ‘Mayan calendar’ and how on 12-21-12 it is going to effect life as we know it. Some even believe that like the movie 2012 the earth will be flooded or destroyed. Well, God promised He would never again flood the earth and it is certainly not going to be the end of the world. I do believe that we will experience some more catastrophes since the lining up the planets will have a great effect as we’ve been seeing some unusual changes going on already.
I found this article to offer some very good information of truth and I wanted to pass it along to you, if you are interested in this kind of thing.

You’re Never a Failure

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

I love bringing these tasty morsels to the table. If you glean from them, you will go away feeling full…not foolish. When I think back on the times I saw myself as a failure in life because I never made a ‘big’ name for myself or became famous or rich doing anything. What did I do with my life? Was this just a waste of my time to even try? Well, I can relax now and really know that I am just the person I was created to be in Christ. He is the One Who has brought me the knowledge to understand that this life is not about me, it never was. But when I make it all about Him, He will open doors that can’t be shut and pour down blessings that will over flow and can’t be contained. I am a success because He calls me His

Prepare Your Heart For Love

It seems that time of year is once again upon us. What do you think of when you hear “Christmas”? Do you think of family, trees, lights, food, celebrating, presents? These are all the things that come along with this special season but…do you think about the reason for this season? If Christ is your reason then this holiday will take on a more fulfilling and deeper meaning. If not then it’s really just another day to celebrate ourselves. May this Christmas bring you the Peace, Love and Joy that God gave to us in the Presence of His Son, Jesus. May His blessed birth fill your heart this Christmas.
God loves you!

Better Safe than Sorry

This evacuation plan was sent via email. After so many people were effected by hurricane Sandy recently I thought I would pass this along as this won’t be the last catastrophe we are faced with. But in case it is here is a check list you might want to go over.

Your Highest Priority is the safety of you and your family. The first step in developing an evacuation plan is to establish a meeting place. Hopefully, you’re all together at home as you prepare to leave, but if you’re ever separated, you should all know where to reconvene to get set to evacuate. When God Draws Near: Our Need for Redemption

Devotional by Dayspring
Personally, I love reading these devotionals that remind us that we are all human, we are bound to fall and fail and that is not a sin! This world has lied to us and we end up running on a tread mill trying to keep up but we get tired of trying. If this sounds familiar, take heart, you are not a failure in God’s eyes. Take time to slow down, dust yourself off and be kind to yourself. Get refreshed in the One Who created you to be exactly who you are and learn to accept you for that reason. It’s not a race for the fastest, but the one who goes slow and steady will be the winner when it’s all over. If you have received Christ into your life, just know that you have the victory already!

You’re more than your hard days

Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth
I think in this day and age where everything is so fast and furious, we as women feel we must compete in order to be accepted. Life is just hard sometimes and we want to be viewed as someone always in charge of things, we can’t allow our failures and flaws to show for fear of being seen as a failure. But here’s the thing, when we know how to realize that we are greatly loved and highly favored by a loving God Who created us to be exactly who we are, it takes a lot of pressure off and then we can be free to be who we are and in accepting this, we can rest and know that God loves us and this love will automatically spill over on those around us. Be free in Him today and just love naturally!

If I Were the Devil
by Paul Harvey

Have sound on… This was 47 years ago. April 3, 1965. An amazing prediction.

Do you remember the famous ABC radio commentator Paul Harvey?

Millions of Americans listened to his programs which were broadcast over 1,200 radio stations nationwide.

When you listen to this, remember, the commentary was broadcast 47 years ago on April 3, 1965.

It’s short…less than three minutes. You will be amazed.
Just look to the white house…This is an unbelievable summary of what we have today.

What’s your calling?

What do people call you?

Whatever people call you, it’s different than your calling.

That’s good news because it means we’re not defined by what we do, by the ways others see us, by their expectations or our efforts. We can do many different things in a lifetime and our true identity will stay the same. We will always be loved and of great value by the One who has chosen us.

You will be called many things in your lifetime.

But you have just one calling for all eternity.

And that’s to hear, answer and follow the only One who knows you completely.
It matters not to the Lord that I am an artist, a mother,

How do you know when you’ve done enough?

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

How do you know when you’ve done enough?

We sit around a table at a local restaurant. My friends and I are sharing a dessert sampler {yum!}. The topic of conversation is guilt–but it’s not because of the sugar this time.

Nope, we’re talking about the guilt we feel in our everyday lives. The guilt it seems all women feel at one time or another.

Mine comes in a particular form, with a flavor as distinct as the slice of pie staring up at me from my plate. I tend to feel like what I do is never enough. I tell myself, “I’ll rest when it’s all done.” But it’s never all done.

My friends lean in gently, “Holley, you’re a dreamer. You’re always going to think of more than you can actually do.”

I almost drop my spoon on the floor. Because that’s it. Ex…

Are you there yet?

Devotional by Heart to Heart by Holley Gerth

This resonates with me as once upon a time I was restless and couldn’t wait for the day I would arrive and be just what I wanted to be. However, my life took some rather unexpected turns and the dreams I once had never quite worked out. But as I look back on all this, I wouldn’t change anything as it has made me aware that who I am now is the person God had intended me to be and I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

A Little Bird Told Me...

Devotional by Godvine

“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.” – Mark 11:23

The Lord can do some pretty unbelievable things… if you have read the Bible, you know just what miracles He can show us. So have faith in the impossible – because it’s possible with God.

A Little Bird Told Me…

“Oh, there you are, Jack,” I said as I looked up from planting a geranium.

“Where have you been? I haven’t seen you for awhile and I was wondering about you,” I said as I washed off my hands with the hose and dried them on a rag. I walked toward the bench to rest and visit with Jack for a while. I had left my tea and toast on t…

Are you in the Guilt Cycle or the Grace Cycle?

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

Are you in the Guilt Cycle or the Grace Cycle?

I open my eyes to a new day and a long list of to-do’s. Before I’m even out of bed, I notice a cobweb in the corner. Guilt creeps under the covers with me. I think of other women with cobweb-free corners (in their homes and hearts). I vow that today I’ll try harder…

Can you relate that that pattern? If so, you’re familiar with what I like to call the Guilt Cycle. It’s like a little hamster wheel in our hearts that we run around again and again. It looks like this:
Guilt Cycle

Another day I wake up and take a deep breath of grace. I’m loved and known and whatever happens today I will be okay. I slip into the kitchen with a smile for my first cup of coffee. I sit at the table with my to-do list and …

Why who you think you are matters-devotional

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

Why who you think you are matters

On the way to a crazy 50 mile bike ride with my husband I text back and forth with my wonderful friend. Our conversation sounds kinda like this:

Me: Why am I doing this?

Friend: I have no idea.

Me: Because I like a challenge? Because my hubby wants me to? Because there will be free snacks along the route?

I can’t put my finger on the motivation.

I turn from texting to the screen of my Kindle. These words from Switch: ‘How to Change Things When Change is Hard’ jump off the page at me…

“We essentially ask ourselves three questions when we have a decision to make:

Who am I?

What kind of situation is this?

What would someone like me do in this situation?”

When Your Thoughts Try to Get the Best of You

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

I think we all struggle with who we are. We can get caught up in what others think about us and we want to fill their expectations. But in so doing, we can actually lose sight of who God wants us to be. We are not here to be everything for everyone. We must realize that we do have limitations and be honest about them. I know that trying to be a ‘good’ person all the time can actually be harmful to yourself and a relationship. My husband wants to be a ‘good’ person by always doing what he thinks will help someone out and this leads to resentment as it turns into being taken advantage of. I keep telling him we have a word in the English language that is perfectly acceptable to use and it is “no”. Sometimes we

From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!! A woman was asked by a coworker, “What is it like to be a Christian?” The coworker replied, “It is like being a pumpkin.” God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.”

This was passed on to me by another pumpkin. Now it’s your turn to pass it to other pumpkins. I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.

What to do with your lemon chicken piccata-devotional

What to do with your lemon chicken piccata

I’m a Pinterest fan. And I’ve got a board called Yum! It’s filled with recipes I want to try. It makes my life easier–I use it for grocery shopping, meal planning, random drooling.

But there’s one picture on there that has irked me. The Lemon Chicken Piccata.

It looks delish. Truly. But every time I get ready to make it for some reason I decide to do something else.

And it’s time for me to say, “That Lemon Chicken Piccata looks fabulous but it’s not for me.”

What’s your version of Lemon Chicken Piccata? You know, the thing you think you should do because everyone else thinks it’s wonderful or practical or whatever? But every time you try to really go and do it there’s a part of you that hesitates?…

Feel Good About Who You Are

Devotional by Godvine

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” – Ephesians 6:16

Stay close to God and take the shield of faith with you wherever you go. With God on your side, who can possibly be against you?

Feel Good About Who You Are

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishmen…

Building Your Home

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18

We live in a world that is full of temptation and sin – mass media can encourage sinful behavior, but don’t fall prey to this type of thinking. God gave us all the gift of life and eternal salvation. We shouldn’t squander it!

Building Your Home

A great and wise man once called one of his workmen to him saying, “Go into the far country and build for me a house. The decisions of planning and of actual construction will be yours, but remember, I shall come to accept your work for a very special friend of mine."

And so the workman departed with a light heart for his field of labor. Material of all kinds was plenti…

On Dating Your Dreams

We all have desires swirling around in our hearts. We hope or pray or have a vision. Then we wonder, “But is this really it? Is this the one?”

For most of us, those questions sound familiar. They’re the same ones we asked when looking for true love in our lives. So what do we do?

Because that cute boy we have our eye on in biology class may turn out to be completely incompatible with us.

We can use the same approach with our dreams.

If you think you want to become a musician then give free concerts at a local coffee house.

When you treat guilt like gravy

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

When you treat guilt like gravy

I’m a good southern girl. And if there’s anything a good southern girl knows it’s this–everything goes better with gravy.

And guilt.

Yes, a nice helping of guilt.

I’ve struggled with guilt as long as I can remember. I have no idea why. I feel guilty if I do too little. I feel guilty if I do too much.

I even feel guilty if I pause at a stoplight for two seconds after it turns green. I imagine the person behind me glaring at the back of my head for holding them up. Then I look in the mirror and there are no cars behind me. Yes, ma’am. That’s how I roll.

One day I got tired of all this guilt. And I started looking at what Scripture really says about it. Especially in the New Testament. And here’s the thing: guilt …

Cinnamon and Honey

This was sent to me via email and I got to thinking how this very well may be true as God meant for man to digest things naturally and not depend upon synthetics drugs and medicines, which we all know can lead to more serious side effects for illnesses. I have always heard how healthy honey was for certain things, but here is a longer list that honey and cinnamon together just very well may cure! With health insurance and co pays getting so expensive, this just might be an answer to prayer!

Cinnamon and Honey Whoever thought?

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. What it will do is what some call ‘turning to sugar’. In reality, honey is always honey. However, when left in a cool dark place f…

Devotional from Daily Bread
Foreword by Mart DeHaan,

Dear Friend: The most encouraging insights of the Bible come out of its darkest moments.
This is true of that moment when our God spoke light into the darkness; when He brought order of chaos; when He parted the waters of the Red Sea for the terrified Israelites; when He raised Jesus from the dead; and when He restored and gave fruitful service to the disciples who had abandoned Him at His arrest.
Let’s keep the failures and restoration of those disciples in mind as we think together about what many have found to be some of the most disturbing words in the Bible.

How to stop those scandalous thoughts in your head

I’m going through my day and suddenly an uninvited thought slips into my mind.

You know what I’m talking about–it happens to you too.

At church.

In a meeting.

While you’re trying to type a blog post.

Suddenly something you never want to think is right there in the middle of your little head.

And the more you try not to think about it, the more you do.

Yes, ma’am.

It could be a word you don’t usually say, a doubt that has never popped up in before, an unkind observation.

You think, “How could I think this? What is the matter with me?” You wonder if you’re a fraud. What would everyone think if they knew? And God does know, what is He thinking? You whisper a quick prayer for forgiveness and carr…

May the Lord Bless You today!

(Devotional by Day Spring)

Today I have already thanked the Lord for this day that He has made, even in spite of circumstances that appear to be dire in my own life. When you recognize who your real enemy is, and address him in the authority of Jesus’ Name, you are already promised that when you delight in the Lord, the devil will flee when you resist him. As humans we rely on our human senses of sight, sound and things that are said, either by ourselves or someone else. But, in Christ, there is a spiritual side that goes far beyond any human comprehension. To be able to call these things out that aren’t as though they are is only possible when you believe in the Power of Jesus’ Name and the Blood that covers a multitude of sins. If you are in something today that appear

You don’t have to do more

Devotional by Holley Gerth

As a woman of Christ, I know I am not alone with this struggle. For some reason we are conditioned to believe that we must be always running around like chickens with our heads cut off and meeting deadlines at every given moment. We tell ourselves if we don’t, we have failed. But, actually this is quite the opposite in how God desires us to be. I have been trying to learn that the most successful way to live the abundant life is to remain quiet and rest in Him who offers us His Peace. His Name is Jesus. Do you know Him today?
Be blessed,

You don’t have to do more

I feel the tug at my heart…

Do more, more, more.

Prove your worth.

Show your value.

I have always wrestled with this lie. …

When it’s time for you to make the leap

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

When it’s time for you to make the leap

She stands on the edge of a diving board, toes curled around the edge. Her pink swimsuit is a splash of color against the blue sky. Peering at the water and then back at her father, the question comes through in her eyes, “What will happen if I jump?” He nods and smiles. She pinches her nose tight, yells at the top of her lungs and slides into the water with a splash.

When it’s time to take a leap, we want two things…

  • For the fear to completely go away
  • To know what’s going to happen

So we stand on the board and bounce. We gaze uncertainly into the water. We wait.

But the only way for the fear to go away and to know what’s going to happen is this: jump.

You’ll never resolve those issues while you’re standi…

Clean Blood

(Devotional by Godvine)

“And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” – 1 John 4:14

During our days, let us never forget God’s enormous sacrifice. He gave up Jesus, His only Son, so that our sins may be forgiven. And Jesus, He gladly underwent emotional and physical torture – just so our wrongdoings could be washed away. We are truly blessed and we should all feel special each day! Praise the Lord!

When Jesus Came to Dinner

(Devotional by Godvine)

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.”
James 5:13

We all go through times in our lives when we feel like we can’t carry on – and we might not even want to. But pray to God for guidance and healing. He will give it to you. And once you are healed, always praise Him for giving you the gift of happiness. All things tie back to the Lord!

When Jesus Came to Dinner

Ruth looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter one more time…

Dear Ruth,

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. “Why would the Lord want to visit me?…

This is a video that was emailed to me and after watching it, it just reflects that we as the human race all have one thing in common…the longing for peace and happiness. So, I thought I would send this for anyone who might want to have a smile brought to their face, a feeling of love and peace brought to their souls and see the world as God would love us all to see our neighbors. We are not divided, we have all been created equally the same, to love and be loved.
Not everyone is for war, not everyone is out killing others and it should make us stop and wonder why only the bad news is what we hear on the news media?
God’s Word says that as the mind goes, the man will follow. What if our minds were set on loving our neighbors…imagine what a differ…

Day Unknown

Day Unknown
(Frome the Daily Bread devotional by Dennis Fisher)

“On the day and hour on one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.”
Matthew 24:36

Too many Londoners, 1666 looked like the year when Jesus would return. Prophecy enthusiats had added, 1000 years since Christ’s birth to 666, the number of Antichrist, to arrive at the date 1666.
The world did seem to be on the verge of destruction when in 1665 a plague claimed the lives of 100,000 people in London. Then in September 1666, a London fire destroyed tens of thousands of buildings. Some wondered, Didn’t the Bible predict catastrophes at the end of the world? (See Mt. 24:1-8). Yet the year 1666 passed, and life went on seemingly as it had before.
Even in our own day, there are those who have predicted the …

I love posting these as they help us to see inside ourselves and discover more. I liked this one because I think we see ourselves quite differently than what other people see. Forgive past hurt by community.

So, this week we’re discussing how to forgive past hurt by community.

Let’s not even try to pretend it’s easy. Or that we should simply press through, or shake it off, or “let it slide.” Perhaps, if we can just allow ourselves to set aside those silly notions, we can get to the other side in one piece. Because being hurt hurts. Plain and simple.

Here’s the thing: there are no perfect people. Not even in community.

We— the imperfect — worship together, and we serve together. We share recipes and grocery shopping tips. We help each other move, and we pick up each other’s children from school. We share our dreams and we confess our failures. We bake and deliver casseroles, and we wait and pray with each other in hospital emergency rooms.

It is a beautiful thing.

Until it isn’t.

Dead Ducks Don’t Flutter

Whoever said being a Christian is an easy life? If one is truly a follower of Christ, they can quickly agree that it’s not for the weak. A true believer in Christ has to actually go through life every day with his full armor on, to be a warrior and to know exactly who his real enemy is. Satan is very real and his sites are on every devout Christian to steal their joy and make them ineffective witnesses for Christ. When I see him attacking me, I smile and think I must be doing something right! This is the mindset of a strong Christian. Life is a battle but we know with Christ, we already have the victory!
Have a blessed day,

When the nation prayed

I came across this article and I can’t believe it’s a coincidence that I was suppose to find it for such a time as this and post it. This election in the U.S. is one of the most important ones we will ever see. Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independant, or don’t care at all, I believe we all have one thing in common, and that is to see this country get back to what it was. It’s not about what party rules, it’s about getting God back to rule and reign. May we all keep this lifted in prayer that God would place the perfect person in office to do this job. I pray that whoever it is, will turn and repent and hear what the Lord does say and put His godly morals into place.
Without God with us, who then shall be for us?

This was sent to me via email and I wanted to share this with anyone who will take the time to read it.
It’s hard to imagine what evil lurks in the hearts of the people who go on a killing spree such as Columbine, the killing of the Amish children, and as of late the murders in the movie theater.
As tax payers often have to pick up the tab to have these people evaluated, if they don’t take their own lives first, but the root of the problem is in our own hearts. Just like the example of Cain and Able, it was not that Cain’s offering to God was bad, it represented his human effort and a disregard for God that made it unacceptable. Without God we are but empty vacuums with a life void of the love that God had created us to be, it is in His own image.

Things We’re Too Old to Say

Sounding off on slang we should drop

by: Jacquelyn Mitchard | from: AARP Bulletin

I’ll never be too old to say I love you. I’ll never be too old to say I’m sorry. I’ll never be too old to ask an obnoxious jerk if he’s this rude to everybody or if he’s running a special just for me.

Still, I am too old to keep on saying certain things. Being part of the generation that won’t grow up means that I still have many friends (female) who announce that they’re going “to the little girls’ room” to “tinkle,” and many friends (male) who clap their pals on the back and cry “dude!”

Having Lunch with God

Devotional by Godvine. This is a cute little story and one that we all could remember when we are around others and how we treat them. Sometimes just the simplest act of kindest can mean the most of all. Take a look at this heart breaking video as well, I can’t believe that there is such hatred and evil in this world, but God is bigger and more powerful than any evil that lurks in this world. Thanks be to God, there are people who out do the evil with their good. Have a beautiful day! Viv

“Dear Friend, most of us have probably thought about the inclination of hurt people that hurt others.
With some though, we understand why this might happen. Those who have been deeply wounded often resolve to never again feel such pain.
Yet, as also have seen, all too often such resolve results in trying to protect and care for ourselves at the expense of others.
So how do we break such a cycle?
In our shared desire for good relationships, see if the accompanying column resonates with the love and assurance we all long to receive and give.
In the process, I hope you will find a deeper appreciation and love for the One who promises never to leave or forsake us.

Letting God Take Over

Devotional by Godvine
If you’re like me, you know that life happens and it’s just so daily. We have good times and we have bad times, we are tossed around like a ship at sea and we lose sight of the horizon and can start to sink. It’s all normal stuff. But, the only way to get back to the surface is focus on the One Who promised He would never leave us nor forsake us and soon we will see that horizon once again. May you find peace in the Lord today.

And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” – Ecclesiastes 12:7

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27

In a crazy, messy world, we always have one true peace in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Turn to His word and find hope, comfort, and salvation in any situation. Never forget, he is your strength.

(Devotional by Day Spring)_
I am encouraged to know that no matter what kind of mess we may be in today, God can Re-do it and make it all brand new. No matter how far lost someone might be, no matter how broken, how sick, or whatever it may be, there is always hope that it can be made whole once again.

Our Footsteps

This is a devotional from Godvine. I love sharing these uplifting and encouraging messages to others who may need to read them for that day. If you are a follower of Christ, you know how much He loves and cares for you and if you don’t know Him yet, just know that He loves you too right where you are and would love for you to let Him come into your heart. Don’t mistake the fact that God loves the sinner, but He has no choice but to hate the sin. This is why Christ died for us all. (Please no negative responses as there is no arguing of God’s truth.)

Unglued Mama Mornings

Devotional by DaySpring

Unglued Mama Mornings

As we enter the new school year I’m making a bold commitment: No more unglued mama mornings. I want our mornings to go better this year with less frustration, yelling, and chaos.

I started thinking about this last spring when we had a string of really hard mornings.

One day, as I pulled up to the school, the atmosphere inside the car was thick with tension. Not wanting the last words spoken to my daughter to be harsh, I tried to change the course of our conversation before she headed into her day. “Listen, I love you. I’m sorry we had a rough morning.”

“We always have rough mornings,” she shot back before slamming the car door.

Nothing quite makes a mom feel more successful than a little dialogue like that.

As I rubbed the stabbing feeling in …

You Can Be Confident

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth

If we had coffee today I’d say…You Can Be Confident

Sometimes we worry that being confident is the same as being prideful. But the two are very different…

Humility literally means bowing our hearts.

So we bow our hearts to God and agree with what he says–including what he says about us! Then he stands us on our feet and sends us out to be who he’s made us and do what he’s called us to do.

Insecurity turns us inward–true humility (which is also true confidence) turns us outward and upward.

{Hear more in the video.}

Being Kind Makes All the Difference

I love when I can share something inspiring and encouraging. It’s not often that we hear the good things that happen on the news, we are too often bombarded with so much bad in the world. But, I’m sure that more good actually happens except it’s not newsworthy and that is a shame. I hope you enjoy this and that it gives you a good feeling to realize that not everyone out there is bad. I believe that if we keep the good in the world alive, it will outshine any wickedness. Enjoy the video at the end of more good samaritans. God Bless!

Jesus’ Best Day

(A Devotional by Dayspring)

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Jesus’ Best Day

What was Jesus’ best day? Was it at the wedding in Cana when He performed His first miracle? Was it in the countryside when He fed 5000 hungry people? Was it when He healed the man who was blind from birth? Was it when He raised Lazarus from the dead? All of these moments were filled with awe and wonder, happiness and celebration, blessing and delight, but none of these moments compare with the joy that was set before Him.

What was Jesus’ best day? His best day was not a “most fun” day, but the day of His greatest suffering. His best day wa…

Dear Mama

(From a Heart to Heart devotional by Holley Gerth)

I don’t think we need a special holiday to let all the mothers of the world know how truly special they are. Having raised two children of my own, I can appreciate all that goes with this duty and to do it well. Today I can look back and see many mistakes I made but then I see how both my boys turned out and I am so proud of them and I am also thankful that I did instill into them a set of godly morals and standards and the day I leave this world, I will know that this is the legacy I left to the world, the love I have given that I know is being recycled to many others in this world. I will always be thankful for having a mother that gave these qualities to me so I could pass them on. This is for all you mothers who may think you ar

Greater Things for You

(Devotional by Day Spring)
As one who has learned to listen to the guidance of my Heavenly Father, I have seen Him acting on my behalf time and time again when I did nothing to deserve it. All I need know is how much He loves me, not on what I have done to deserve anything, but based on what His Son Christ did for me and everyone who receives Him. All His promises are true as we set out in this life to follow Him and seek to know Him more. The more I get to know the Father, the more I love Him and the more I love Him, the more I yearn to do His will and that is spread His message of Love and Peace and encourage those who want to learn as well. We all have a choice in the matter to love Him or not but if you are one who loves the Lord Jesus Christ today, I pray this will encourage you on yo

The Pearl

  • “The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”* – Psalm 118:14

Our Lord is our strength – remember this when you face hardships. That way, you know that He is with you during whatever you may face. Family trouble, losing your job and health issues are all easier to handle when you realize that the Lord is your strength. :) May God Bless you!

David Morse – American missionary to India – became great friends there with the pearl-diver, Rambhau. Many an evening he spent in Rambhau’s cabin reading to him from the Bible, and explaining to him God’s way of salvation.

What always comes right before a miracle

She wears white and floats down the aisle. My oldest niece is getting married and she’s gorgeous. She stands, whole future ahead of her, next to the one who will share it.

The pastor talks of the wedding where Jesus turns water into wine. He says, “Jesus’ mother told the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’ ” He encourages the couple in front of him to do the same. Those words grab hold of my heart. They won’t let go through the reception line, as my fork slices into cake, as the last cheers go up when the hand-holding pair rushes out the door into their new life together.

Because I realize, for the first time, those are the words that always come just before a miracle.

Not “Do whatever you want”

Not “Do what you f…

*Take That Brave Step

Devotional by Heart to Heart with Holly Gerth*

I find this devotional exceptionally true. We can put our lives in full throttle and go full steam ahead for God until we come across a bump in the road. This is where we come to an abrupt halt and say, “woah, wait a minute, I can’t go into unknown territory, I’m too afraid.” But, if we stop here and wait until we get a green light, we will miss blessings that are given by faith. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. Since He is not pleased with our doubts, how can He bless His children? It is in these times of doubt and fear that He gives us the strength to keep going, He’ll even show us the way. How will we ever learn unless we step out of our comfort zone? If you find yourself too afraid to contin

Do you feel pressure to be perfect? It turns out that’s a burden you were never meant to carry. True perfection isn’t about being flawless–it’s about growth and completion. The actual Greek word is “teleios.” For example, an oak tree is the “teleios” of an acorn. You can trade the lie that you have to be perfect for the truth that God only asks you to keep growing with Him. Woo-hoo!

Right now I have someone who has cast me out of their life because in their eyes, I have not met up to their exp

A Slice of Life

Devotional by Godvine
This is heart warming story of how if we all just do our small part, it can become whole!

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” – Psalms 91:1,2

Always trust in the Lord, for He will shelter us and protect us in our times of need! It may seem hard to let go and believe that He will, but once you do, you will feel better. God Bless .

Falling from Grace

(Taken from a devotional from DaySpring)

Falling From Grace

I caught my fingers on the keys yesterday.
I almost typed the words:

I was trying to describe my own history and I had no other language to use to describe it. Like when a toddler uses “big” to describe everything from elephants to trucks to bowls of spaghetti. “Big” is the only good word he knows to use in that situation.

Fall from grace. I didn’t know how else to put it, but something irritated me about that term.
We actually don’t fall from grace, do we?
As if grace is a place we live in and then when we do something terrible we fall out of it. We hang, feet dangling, above the nothingness of life.

In reality we are all broken people… So every day, when we fail again, and again, and another time, we FALL B…

Castles, gratefulness and why you might kiss your carpet

This devotional is so true for many of us. How many times have we said, “I wish I had what they have?” I know I have from time to time. But here’s the thing, are we willing to do what they did to get it? Probably not. Now I see things in a whole new way. I can certainly appreciate having nice material objects, but then I say to myself, “I wouldn’t want to be in debt like that person, I wouldn’t want to be owned by something just to have it.” No, I am grateful and thankful for what I do have and the simpler it is, the better.

A Letter From Heaven

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” – James 1:2-4

Sometimes it’s hard to see our troubles in life as God tests us… but many times that’s exactly what they are! So be happy to endure the trials and prove to God what strong faith you have. He will make sure everything is all right in the end.

A Letter From Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say,
But first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.

Your Dream Isn’t Done

Devotional by Holly Gerth from Heart to Heart

Your Dream Isn’t Done

This summer I did a very brave thing. I bought a tomato plant. To understand why that’s an act of courage, I need to share my history of plants with you. Don’t worry, I can sum it all up in three little words:

I kill them.

Every few years I decide to change my wicked, plant-assassin ways. I wander into a store for completely unrelated reasons and there they are…rows of promising little pots just begging to be taken home (well, in my case they are probably hollering for me to leave them there).

This year I yielded to temptation and picked up a cherry tomato plant.

I put it in the sunshine.

I watered it.

Sometimes I forgot.

Then I went out of town.

I came home and my little plant had turned the color of crispy french fries. …

A 7th Grader’s Miracles

This devotional is written through the simple trust of a child who knows that God can and will heal when we come to Him by faith through grace. God acts when we react to Him in total and complete trust.
I pray this blesses you today!

“For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds.” – Jeremiah 30:17

Looking Up When Life Is Looking Down

Looking Up When Life Is Looking Down

Then one day, at the bottom of my pit, I raised my weary head and dirty, tear-streaked face to the sky. And redemption drew nigh. God knew the plan He had for me.

You can get out. And I do mean you. But here’s the catch: You can’t get yourself out.

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” – John 14:18

A Letter From God

As you got up I watched and hoped you would talk
to me. Just a few words, such as thanking me for
something good in your life yesterday or last
week, would do.

But I noticed you were busy selecting the right
clothes for work. I waited again to hear from you.
When you ran around the house collecting papers,
I knew there would be a few minutes to stop and
say hello, but you never slowed down.

I wanted to tell you that I could help you
accomplish more than you ever dreamed possible
if you would just spend some of each day with me.
At one point you waited fifteen minutes in a chair
with nothing to do. I waited to hear from you.

Then I saw you spring to your feet; I thought

The Will of God

“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Finding true peace in life is very difficult, especially without God. But He can provide a contentment, a comfort, and a peace that you can’t get with material objects and superficial things. Put your full trust in Him and talk to Him daily…and you will see.

Remember. The Will of God will never take you…

Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you…

Where the riches of God cannot supply you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,

The Pretty One

This was the last litter of puppies we were going to allow our Cocker Spaniel to have. It had been a very long night for me. Precious, our only black cocker, was having a very difficult time with the delivery of her puppies.

I laid on the floor beside her large four-foot square cage, watching her every movement. Watching and waiting just in case we had to rush her to the veterinarian.

After six hours the puppies started to appear. The first born was a black and white party dog. The second and third puppies were tan and brown in color. The fourth and fifth were also spotted black and white. “One, two, three, four, five,” I counted to myself as I walked down the hallwa…

Burned Biscuits

I have read this before but I think it’s worth sharing. The lesson I’m trying to learn in life is that it’s too short to be critical, judgmental and get offended at every little thing that comes along. The simple fact is, we are created differently, each one of us think differently, this doesn’t make us good or bad, it just makes us who we are…unique and special. It’s like we are all in a big pot of stew, we are all that one ingredient that when it gets mixed in with the others, puts so much flavor into it. Instead of putting eachother down for our differences, why can’t we celebrate the fact that we were all made to be different and that’s not a bad thing!!! I hope you enjoy this little story, it holds alot of truth behind it!

The Light of the World

“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” – Psalm 18:2

God is so many things to us – our comfort, our rock, our salvation, and our deliverer just to name a few. Without Him, where would any of us be? Let’s just all thank Him for the blessings He has given each of us and have peace in our hearts knowing He is in control. Have a wonderful day – God bless :)

The Light of the World

This is just a very short story, but it is one example of how we can be the difference in someone else’s life. It’s easy to think we are insignificant and even the smallest gesture doesn’t matter…but it does.

You Light Up this World

Fireworks light up the night behind the trees in my yard. I look at their brightness, almost blinded, and feel again that thrill of something big and beautiful.

As the last embers fall, I spot another light–this one small, blinking, barely visible in the afterglow. It’s a firefly.

I always wonder what my little flying friends think of this holiday. I imagine a firefly going about its business, feeling happy and content with its tiny light, thinking how nice it is to add a bit of loveliness to the world on summer evenings.

Then, suddenly, an explosion of light appears above. Stunned, the firefly can’t believe her eyes at first. She has never seen anything like it. As she watches, wave after wave appears.

Then a new feeling, a new th…

You’re Not Done Yet {and Neither Am I}

Mondays are great days for confessions, don’t you think?

Well, here’s one to start us off: I have a slight obsession with cooking at the moment. I watch Food Network. I hunt down recipes on Pinterest. I help my husband live with adventure because he never knows what’s coming out of the oven next.

My family and friends think this is hilarious. Because a few years ago my ability to plan a good meal consisted of one sentence: “Where do you want to eat?” And in defense of my Mama, I was far more interested in cute boys than culinary accomplishments in high school.

I’ve learned to make salad dressing, how to properly fry an egg, and more ways to cook chicken than I can count. Yes, ma’am.

It’s the phrase I’ve heard from the lips of hundreds of women. From my own too.

We face a challenge and redefine ourselves by it.

Here are some I’ve said:

I’m the girl who has social anxiety.

I’m the girl who has depression.

I’m the girl who can’t have children.

Those sentences trap us, limit us, make us believe we are our worst moments.

I clear my throat and whisper quietly into the phone what has set me free…

She sighs with relief and says the words that are like candy for my ears, “You need to write about this on…

A Different Ending to the Grasshopper and the Ant

As I was going through the devotionals I get through my emails, I thought it was rather neat that these two different ones used the same Bible verse. I thought I would post them together. A Different Ending to the Grasshopper and the Ant

A mother of a 9 year old boy, Mark, received a phone call in the middle of the afternoon. It was the teacher from her son’s school.

Wherever You Are, Be There

I stare out the back door at robins pecking and trees swaying in the early morning like slow dancers. It’s a gorgeous day just unfolding. All is well.

And then in the middle of the peace a voice comes, “But it can’t last. Something bad will happen.”

So I start to worry and fret. Before I know it, my body is one place and my heart in another.

Have you ever done the same?

Then when a difficulty does come, I do much the same. I look at the broken pieces, the shattered dreams.

And then in the middle of the hurt a voice comes, “But you should just be happy. Look how blessed you are.”

So I plaster on a smile and try to fake it through the day. Before I know it, my body is in one place and my heart in another.

Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work. They had seven children and they needed food.

John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store. Visualizing the family needs, she said: “Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.” John told her he could not give her credit, as she did not have a charge account at his store.

When Your Thoughts Run Away With You

When Your Thoughts Run Away With You

I’m not a runner. If you see my feet moving quickly do two things…

- Look behind me to see if I’m being chased

Beyond those extenuating circumstances, I’m quite happy to go through life at a slower pace. So I’m not sure what got into my head that made me think I might start running this summer. I’d already been biking and swimming so why not, right?

So I did what every girl does at the start of a new chapter in her life: I went shoe shopping.

At the local running store they put you on a treadmill so they can see your stride. As the teenage salesman explained the various issues people have, my husband piped in to save some time. “I can tell you what she does. She run…

Finding the Truth You Need

Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth:

Finding the Truth You Need

I have a really big purse. Some might call it a tote bag, actually. But I’m carrying it around with me all the time anyway. And I love it.

The only time it drives me nuts is when I need to find something in it. And, poor purse, through no fault of its own that can be a daunting task. You see, I throw everything in there. Wallet, lipstick, papers, wrappers, pens, notebooks. When it gets too heavy, I take something out. Great strategy, right?

So locating what I want is like a grab bag game. I reach in there and fumble around until “Ta-Da!”

I’ve noticed I treat truth much the same way. I toss things into my heart—Scriptures, sermon notes, quotes from books, advice from friends. Then a tough moment comes and I find myself aski…

The Only Way Up

Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth:

The Only Way Up

Climb the ladder.

Get to the top.

Build a platform.

These words ring in our culture and sting in our hearts. What are we to do with them? God offers another way. Make yourself a servant to others and I will raise you up.

The only entrance to God’s elevator is on the ground floor. Through the servant’s quarters.

So we can stop striving. Stop worrying. Stop working so hard.

Instead simply serve. Wherever you are today.

You are doing well. You are bringing joy. You are where you need to be to make a difference. And if where you are needs to change, God will do it.

You do the loving. He’ll do the lifting.

“He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.”
Proverbs 14:31

Statistics are tricky. While numbers give us information, sometimes they can also desensitize us to the people whose numbers represent. This hit me recently as I read a statistic: Every year 15 million people die from hunger. That’s chilling, and for those of us who live in cultures of plenty, it’s hard to fathom. In 2008, nearly 9 million children died before their fifth birthday, with a third of those deaths related to hunger. These are staggering numbers, but they are much more than numbers. They are individuals loved by God.
We can show the Father’s heart of love by responding to people’s physical n…

Balance Your Life

I’ve admired Kay Warren for years. I love her faith, tenacity, and courage. When I found out she’d wrote a book called Choose Joy, I knew I wanted to get my hands on a copy. And I’m thrilled that she’s sharing part of it here with you today…

Many of us spend our days feeling driven by the almost impossible demands of our lives. More than two thousand years before email, social networking, cell phones, and carpools, the Greek philosopher Socrates said, “Beware the barrenness of the busy life.” Joy withers in our lives when we are too busy. Too often we overestimate the amount of time we have to do a task and underestimate the amount of time it’s actually going to take to do that task. We end up slaves to commitments we’ve made, saying

When You Feel Like You Have to Have it All Together

When You Feel Like You Have to Have it All Together
(By Holly Gerth from Heart to Heart devotional)

I don’t have it all together.

You don’t have it all together.

But we can still do life together.

And that’s the only together that really matters.

I needed to remember that today.

Maybe I’m not the only one?

How many times do we waste by kicking ourselves for not measuring up to what we think others think we should be? We all have down days and days when we are on top of the world, that’s being human. None of us can be constant in our emotions, but we just have to realize that we are imperfect and that’s what makes us perfect to God. If we were all perfect we wouldn’t need Him. He gave us one another to love and

Patience to be Patient

*Patience to be Patient
(Taken from the Daily Bread daily devotional by Philip Yancey)

“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His Word I do hope.”Ps. 130:5

Children want things now: “But I want dessert now!” “Are we there yet?” “Now can we open our presents?” In contrast, as we get older we learn to wait. Medical students wait through training. Parents wait in hopes that the prodigal will return. We wait for what is worth waiting for, and in the process we learn patience.
God, who is timeless, requires of us a mature faith that may involved delays that seem like trials. Patience is one sign of maturity, a quality that can develop only through the passing of time.
Many prayers in the Bible come out of the act of waiting. Jacob waited 7 year…

The Bible doesn’t promise believers a life free from pain, difficulty, or loss. Christians are not exempt from heartache or disappointment. And sometimes we’ll find that in the midst of periods of joy and blessing will come episodes when we desperately need a renewed perspective.

The Bible promises those who believe in Christ that they will have a Companion on the journey to help, encourage, and strengthen them in whatever may come their way. He is the One who has promised: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Heb. 13:5,6).

To be able to have this confidence is to live a life that is an exclamation point in a world of question marks. …

I yank my arm back from the stove with a yelp. “Ow!” A thin pink line slips across my forearm. Sliding muffins into the oven, I’d gotten a little too close. I seek the sink and run cold water on the heat. A few tears flow too.

As I stand there, I think back over words spoken that slashed across my heart just like the heat of the oven. That place within me still feels tender. I berate myself, “Why am I so sensitive?”

I glance back at my arm and suddenly I’m thankful for sensitivity. Without it, the burn would have been much worse. And without the sensitivity of my heart, a relationship I value could have been more deeply damaged too.

Never apologize for your sensitivity.

But don’t abuse it either. Being burned didn’t m…

Sixteen food trucks circle the wide open field. I read the locations on the side…Buffalo, Toronto, New York City. Over miles and across borders these folks have brought what they have to offer. And as I bite into a chocolate-hazelnut cupcake, I smile because we’re clearly all benefiting.

I like the idea of food trucks. Wherever you go, you have something to offer.

And in case you didn’t know, you’re kinda like a food truck.

We’re all called to feed the hearts around us. Give us this day our daily bread, says the line in the Lord’s prayer. What we receive isn’t just for us.

And it isn’t just for one particular place.

For godly Fathers on Father's Day

*With Father’s Day coming up, we honor our dads for the sacrifices they make for their families. Being a dad is the most important job in the world. It means more than just supporting a family. It is being an example of godliness to the children and showing them what it means to have good morals. What a child sees, they are more apt to copy.
This is for all you dads who value this in your own families by honoring the Lord.

I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

We drive into Niagara-on-the-Lake. Just across from the falls and tourist attractions, it’s a sleepy little town. I let out a sigh as I feel the rythm and pace of this place.

It is slower here.

Along the side of the road grows vineyard after vineyard. My husband and I point out different sizes of vines, “Those look young.” “Those look like they’ve been growing awhile.”

We’re read that vineyards can take years to produce. The green that flashes before us represents many seasons of patience, nurturing, faithfulness.

I’m not sure I could be a grape grower.

I want things to work out now.

A few minutes later he leaned in and whispered, “The table of women behind us is reading your book.” I slapped his hand playfully and said, “No, they’re not.” He repeated, “Really, they’re reading your book.” (This isn’t the first time I’ve mistaken truth for teasing. A Prayer for the Brokenhearted

A Prayer for the Brokenhearted

Father of the brokenhearted daughter…
Oh, hear our prayer…

Give Your daughter the wisdom to know it:
Hiding when you’re hurting won’t heal you and growing isolated can just let infection grow.

Give Your daughter the love to live it:
The secret way to heal a broken heart is to let love leak out like an ocean through all the cracks.

The best way to tend to your open wounds is to open your arms… When you have Jesus on the inside, you’re never on the outside… When Love’s got hold of you, there isn’t a lie in the universe that can pull you apart.

And may all her trials be but a trail, all the stones on the way be but grace stairs to God.
In name of Jesus who broke His heart to heal ours…Amen.

American honey bees are disappearing

For anyone who might be concerned about this, here is a link to sign a petition against this pesticide which is killing of the much needed honey bees.

Here’s the buzz: American honey bees are disappearing at an alarming rate and the government knows why.

Scientists say a pesticide called clothianidin, made by chemical giant Bayer, is strongly linked to the rapid decline in bee populations. When exposed to the chemical, bees get lost: they are literally unable to find their way home back to the hive and drop dead from exhaustion.

Susan Mariner uses her backyard garden to grow extra fruits and veggies for her family and teach her children where their food comes from — and in the past few years, she’s seen the decline in bees firsthand.

We sit on the last row of a country church. I squeeze Ann’s hand, hardly believing that I get to be here with her and her whole family. We have been friends for years now. Separated by geography and close in heart.

The elements are passed.

The bread. His body broken for us. And I smile in amazement at what God has done with two broken word girls. How he has seen fit to use us and make us whole.

The cup. His blood spilled out for us. And my heart fills with joy because I realize this is what joins us. This is how I came to be here in this little country church.

When she passes the cups to me, I lean in and whisper, “Blood sisters.”

That’s what we are.

She and I.

You and I too.

Blood sisters and brothers…

As a young child, I never heard my parents refer to anyone in a derogatory way. I was never brought up to be prejudice and when I hear others calling people names, it grieves my spirit. We are all of the same race, the human race and that means, we have all been created equal. If we were turned inside out, we would all look exactly the same. Our outward differences only make us unique. Why is it we love to have options when it comes to cars, houses, flowers, trees, dogs, cats and so on, but we can’t see these differences among people as something to be valued?
I read this and thought it was worth sharing.
We need to ‘see’ with our hearts and not with our eyes.

Hello, You…

The one beginning your week,

maybe thinking about your hurts,

hoping no one will notice until you are better.

Lean in close,

You are already good enough.

You don’t have to be better.

Not because you’re perfect (because none of us are)

but because you’re loved

by a God who is committed to

“completing the good work He started in you.”

You have grace enough for this day.

You have something to give.

You are created with care

and placed in this world with a plan,

His plan.

No one can take your place.

Whatever this week will hold for you,

let Him be the One to hold your heart,

the One will never stop telling you

all the ways you’re loved.

We’re here to celebrate.

We’ve just finished a project. We don’t yet know how it will turn out. We’ve only seen glimpses.

But we’re celebrating anyway.

Because after years of creativity and work we’ve learned this: we’re to celebrate God’s goodness and our obedience—not results.

The importance of sharing your story

This came to me through email. The words are very true. Those who don’t know Jesus as the living God are critical of those who do know Him. The truth is, Christians mess up, they still have sins, they are not perfect…yet! This is the beautiful plan that God has given to us all, even though we are not perfect now, Christ came to buy back all our sins and call us His child. I don’t know of any other exchange that has these kinds of benefits.

In The Valleys We Grow

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It’s then we have to remember
That it’s in the valleys we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
We would never appreciate God’s love
And would be living in vain.

We have so much to learn
And our growth is very slow,
Sometimes we need the mountain tops,
But it’s in the valleys we grow.

We do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

The little valleys are nothing
When we picture Christ on the cross

His victory was Satan’s loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I’m feeling so very low.

The deep summer sky spilled endless blue across the ocean. My husband and I sat on an outdoor patio. It was our honeymoon and we’d decided to splurge on a fancy dinner. A waiter approached the table with a smile. For the next two hours he waited on us—our every desire His to fullfill.

When we think of waiting we tend to think of a passive act. But in biblical times, the term “wait” would more likely have been like that of the waiter at our table that evening in many ways. For example, servants waited on masters. My definition of waiting is simply “to expectantly watchful.”

Those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,…

Receiving Grace

There’s a girl in my life who just won’t cut me slack.

I try hard and she says, “Not good enough.”

I put on my cutest outfit and she whispers, “Nice, but not as good as hers.”

I mess up and take a tumble in life and she smirks, “I knew you couldn’t do it.”

Who is this girl? I know you’d like to email her and tell her to stop being so mean to your Holley, right?

I’d like to do the same for any mean girls in your life.

So here’s the secret identity of mine…get your emails ready. It’s me.

Yep, I’m my own worst critic. Maybe you too?

People say, “Give yourself grace.” Yep, sounds good. I’ve even tried it. It just doesn’t work. I think that’s because we’re never meant to give ourselves grace. It’s not about just saying, “That’s okay. It do…

Switching Your Focus

Heart to Heart with Holley Gerth:
Switching Your Focus

A little girl sits across the ice cream shop, an enormous sundae in front of her. It has sprinkles, cherries on top, and a hearty dose of hot fudge too. She dives in and says with enthusiasm, “This is the best sundae I ever ate!” Her Mom giggles a bit and replies with a smile, “That’s because it’s the only hot fudge sundae you’ve ever eaten!”

When we’re kids, enthusiasm comes easily to us. That’s in part because every experience is new. We don’t have anything to compare it to, which keeps us free from the “e” word that can spoil even a good day. Expectations.

Expectations keep our focus on what should be and distract us from what really is.

With that narrowed visio…

The Hidden Trigger to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's That 75% of People Carry

This was sent to me and I think you’ll agree after reading this, your eyes may be opened to this truth about our health and the danger of mercury in our bodies.

The Hidden Trigger to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s That 75% of People Carry

Studies show that mercury is the MOST toxic heavy metal to your body; this excellent new documentary film, Mercury Undercover, exposes the dangers of mercury contamination to human health and to the environment
The number one source of mercury pollution is coal-fired power plants. Second position is held by dental practices due to amalgam fillings, which are 50 percent mercury
Dental amalgams, used for more than 150 years, continue to be used by half of the dentists in North America despite a mountain of evidence they slowly leak toxic mercu…

God is For You

I realize that many think God causes all the calamities in the world, or they may wonder why He doesn’t prevent them? All good questions when you don’t know Him or understand Him. I thought this excerpt by Max Lucado may offer some explanations to these questions.

By Max Lucado (excerpt from America Looks Up)

Many people today are wondering how Go could allow the tragedy of September 11, 2001, and other tragedies happening around the world today. What could He be thinking? Is God really in control? Can we trust Him to run the universe if He would allow terrorists to take the lives of so many people?…Why does He allow natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods to take so many lives?…

It is important to recognize that God dwells in a diff…

You are Loved & Known

What kind of week have you had?
Hard, great, somewhere in between?

I wish I could sit down with you today, lean across the table and let you tell me about the moments that made you laugh or the ones that brought tears, about the fears you faced and the joy you felt, about the obstacles that seemed so big and the breakthroughs you never thought could happen. All of it.

I’m glad that even though I can’t be there, Someone can. And He doesn’t just have to hear about it second hand. He was there. For every moment. Every smile, every frown, every victory, every let-down.

And He’s still here…inviting you to tell Him all about all of it again. Until you know again that everything is going to be okay. He’ll comf…

There's no greater love than the love of Jesus

I want to share this from Day Spring Devotionals

There’s no greater love
than the love of Jesus

There’s no love that’s wiser, that’s stronger,
that lasts longer, that’s more willing or thrilling.
There’s no love more beautiful, more bountiful,
more bold, more basic and unbiased.

There’s no love more gracious, more giving,
more living, more sacred, more selfless,
more soul-satisfying, more pure and undying.
There’s no love more verifiable, more valuable,
more validating, more victorious, more glorious.

There’s no love more precious, more costly, more kingly.
There’s no love that’s greater-that’s more wonderful,
more wild, more passionate, more powerful – than the love of Jesus.

I got this email and it got me thinking about how some people live on this earth and claim there is no God. To me this is just very sad and unfortunate that their eyes are blind to the beauty that is here and can only focus on the negative and then want to blame God in Whom they don’t believe.
As for me, I hear Him, I see Him and I know He walks with me daily.

The man whispered, “God, speak to me”
and a meadowlark sang.

But, the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, “God, speak to me”
and the thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said,
“God let me see you..”
And a star shone brightly..

But the man did not see.

And, the man shouted,
“God show me a miracle..”
And, a life was born.
But, the man did not notice.

So, the man cried out in de…

When I receive emails that actually do make sense I like to post them. This is one of those that has not just common sense but also godly wisdom. Life is something we all need to perfect not only for ourselves but those around us. This life after all, is not just about us.

10 Reasons to Come to Jesus

I thought today, Resurrection Sunday would be a perfect time to post this.
Christ was in fact, dead, buried and rose again to life. This is not myth or fable, this is fact! Something that no one has ever been able to disclaim.

True meaning of stress

This came to me on my email and the words are so very true for all of us, no matter what our beliefs. We are all people who all feel the same things for the same reasons. I thought you might enjoy this. I know I did.

True meaning of stress

A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience; with a raised glass of water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, ‘half empty or half full?’….. she fooled them all… “How heavy is this glass of water?”, she inquired with a smile.

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.

She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my…

Lessons Learned From a Swept Floor

The broom swished over the tile and I wondered how many times I’d swept this exact tile, this exact corner of the room. It would depend, I thought, on how often this particular tile was exposed from underneath a sofa or chair. Maybe I’ve been sweeping it for the last 4 months, but before that? Maybe it had been a few years because it resided darkly beneath a love seat.

Sweep, swish, dustpan.

It’s the same tile, with the same semi-grungy grout: cleaner at the edges of the room than in higher trafficked areas. It’s the same room that we’ve cried in, laughed in, sang in and slept in front of the television in. And for the most part, it houses the same furniture it did seven years ago.

Sweep, swish, think, dustpan.

April Fools!

Since tomorrow is the first of April, many people have referred to this as April Fools Day. I got wondering where it derived from. Everything has an origin.
Some people even consider it some kind of holiday, but it isn’t a holiday at all.
I know what God’s word says about fools.

Psalm 14:1; “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds. There is no one who has done good.”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the term “fool” in the Hebrew means a vile or wicked person.
Proverbs 1:7; “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the term “fools” in the Hebrew means perverse or …

There is Hope

Light of the World

the Light of the World,
came so we could find our way to God.

the Lamb of God,
died upon the cross
so we could receive the Salvation of God.

the Bright and Morning Star,
rose from the dead
so we could live forever with God.

Let Your Light Shine

You’re here to be LIGHT.
God isn’t a secret to be kept.
We’re going public with this,
as public as a city on a hill.
If I make you light bearers,
you don’t think I’m going to hide you
under a bucket do you?
I’m putting you on a light stand.
Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, SHINE.
Keep open house,
be generous with your life by opening up to others.
You’ll prompt people to open up with God,
this generous Father in heaven.

Jesus Calling

I am the Resurrection and the Life;
all lasting Life emanates from Me.
People search for life in many wrong ways: chasing after fleeting pleasures, accumulating possessions and wealth, trying to deny the inevitable effects of aging.
Meanwhile I offer abundant Life to everyone who turns toward Me. As you come to Me and take My yoke upon you, I fill you with My very Life. This is how I choose to live in the world and accomplish My purposes. This is also how I bless you with Joy unspeakable and full of Glory. The Joy is Mine, and the Glory is Mine; but I bestow them on you as you live in My Presence, inviting Me to live fully in you.

Potato Chips

This is another wonderful email message I received and wanted to pass along to all of you. Regardless of all the bad and negative things going on in the world, there is still the love that so many of us have for one another and this is worth posting. Have a blessed day!

Potato Chips

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.

Take 60 seconds to read this wonderful story. It will give you time to settle your brain, gather your thoughts, calm down and start your week off on a positive note.A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer and started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old man. He was sitting in the park, jus…

How Sweet is That?

This email came to me and I thought it was worth posting. It seems that so many people are suffering from health issues and could it be that something in our diets could be the culprit? I thought this was worth posting because it could perhaps help someone who may be suffering from these symptoms and have no idea why.
In the hopes that this article might be of some help to someone, I pray it was worth putting on here if it helps just one person.

I love to celebrate these special occasions, such as St. Patrick’s Day. They give us a chance to wish others well and let them know we are thinking of them.
I would like to take this time to do just that. In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, I want to wish all those who are Irish and those who are Irish Wannabe’s a very happy St. Patrick’s Day.
Let’s band together and show others how much we appreciate them not only on St. Patrick’s Day but every day! Each one is a special gift, let’s use it wisely!!!

Recently I received a Bubble Mail from someone who asked if I were licensed.
This gentleman inquired of 12 of my works that he wanted to license for a business proposition. I just signed this license deal with his company this week and am so overwhelmed to say that these 12 pieces will be used for mass production of their products and will be for sale in stores countrywide. One of these shops he mentioned was Hobby Lobby.
I give God all the praise for this blessing. Thank You Jesus!!!

Drugs or Jesus

I found this song on Youtube and thought how it points out that we all have 2 choices in this life. We can go down a road running from life and turning to things that we are ashamed of and will eventually lead to death, or we can go down a road running to Jesus Who gives life and frees us from bondage.
I’m not sure why people are offended by Him. Who else has ever laid down their life for you?
Perhaps you have never truly understood this ultimate sacrifice, maybe you’ve never even tried to imagine a man being whipped to shreds or pierced with nails and thorns and hung on a cross to slowly suffocate. Maybe you have never realized how He was mocked and humiliated. I can assure you if you were made to watch, you wouldn’t be able to. If you ever really grasped what Je…

A Smile for You Today!

Today I reflect back on the passing of my sister a year ago and the shear feeling of such a loss in my life. I remember the call from my other sister telling us that my oldest sister who was on a respirator would not make it long enough for all the family to even be there. Since I lived several hours away and was already half way there, it would be futile trying to rush.
I knew where my place was at that point in time. God had directed us to go be with my mother who was in a nursing home and the thought of losing her daughter was a devastation for her. I found her in bed crying and asking “Why?” I will never forget that day. It was one of the most difficult days of my life, knowing I lost my sister and my friend and also knowing this would be the beginning of losing my mother …

Heavenly Father, my life is in Your hands.
Yesterday, today, and forever, I am safe and secure in You.

Help me to believe You are at work in my life right now,
even when I don’t see it.
Help me to trust in what I do not see,
when what I see is so painful.
Please help me to know You are taking care of my needs.

Lord, thank You for listening to my cries for help.
Thank You for loving me so much.
Help me to believe You and the promises You have made.
Forgive me when I doubt You and Your love.
I believe, Lord. Forgive me for my unbelief.

Grateful for Our Friendship

Hey Friend,
You are all kinds of wonderful!

this seemed like just the right one

You Are Loved

I had received this from a devotional site on my email. I thought it was beautiful and wanted to share it. Love is so much more than the box of candy and flowers.

You Are Loved

God’s love is different from ours.
God doesn’t just give love – He is love.

We are experts at earning the affections of friends, lovers, children, and our families. Coming face-to-face with a God who loves us unconditionally sets us off balance. It’s much easier to believe, “If I go to church and read my Bible, God will love me.” That makes us feel safe because it seems we can control God’s love. It’s scary to believe in God’s unconditional love.

What if it’s not true? Then the deepest desire of our hearts can never be a reality. We watch Cinderella and the…

Today is a new day

As I ponder the thought that every day is a gift, the present, I just have to thank God for it and for another new day to express my thankfulness to Him and for you.
I think about how many of our friends here on Red Bubble have passed on, or have lost a loved one, or may be going through the worst time of their life, this could be you or me today. And then I have witnessed many miracles as well, answers to prayer for healing and I know there is a God Who is Sovereign over all, whether or not you believe it. I am comforted to know that my life is not just spinning around on luck, but I embrace the fact that we all have a purpose and that main purpose is to touch the lives of others for the good!
I want you to realize today that your life is no mistake, God knew you from before the foundation…

Make up your mind to be happy

This is AWESOME … something we should all remember.

A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o’clock, with his hair fashionably combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.
As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window. I love it,’ he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
Mr. Jones, you haven’t seen the room; just…

This video reminds me that as a photographer, I am testifying to the greatness of our God…and so are many of you. Perhaps you may or may not even realize it. After watching this, I have seen so many photos on here that could very well be one of yours!
We attest to the awesome works of our Maker’s hands every time we point our lens at something that has been miraculously created.
Yes, our God is an awesome God, He reigns from Heaven above, with wisdom, power and love…our God is an awesome God!
I am so grateful to serve this God of all creation, Who does not rule with a heavy handed fist to punish, but rather with all the love in the world to share His everlasting kingdom with Him when we can believe in our hearts that Christ is Who says He is and confess with our mo…

We Can Make a Difference

This video was emailed to me by a very special friend. It has such a profound message, one that is very powerful and one I think is worth passing along.
When you think about your life, what is the main purpose for being here? We can use this life to tear down or build up.
We all make a difference as we pass through this life, it can either be for the bad or for the good. Our actions, our words all carry on and turn into a life of their own, either for negative or positive. These actions and words will forever determine how we effected others in the world around us. This is our legacy so to speak.
How do you want to be thought of and remembered?
After you watch this video, I hope it makes you think twice about how you use your time. How will your life effect someone else’s life today?

I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

Good day to you my friend!

Let's Pray

Prayer is something that is powerful and it works, that is why people do it.
This video was sent to me and I wanted to pass it along because these dogs even have more sense than many people.
What is it about prayer that offends people anyway?
Personally, I don’t think I would even still be here had people not prayed for me. I’ve witnessed my prayers being answered time and time again when I ask in faith and believe that God really is.
This is just cute though, hope you enjoy it!
