This is dedicated to an old friend of mine who would sing this song to me when I was young and lost. He was so funny singing with a cockney accent that no matter how depressed I felt he always made me laugh. When I created this flame I couldn’t get ‘forty fahsand fevvers’ out of my mind. So I went on the net to look for it, not thinking that I would find it ….. but …. much to my amazement I did. It was sung by Billy Cotton and his band in the 50’s and early 60’s and may be older than that. I remember the Billy Cotton Band Show on Saturday evenings in the late 50’s, black and white tv, tiny screen, and tinny sound but we loved it, live music! This is just a short extract from the song. Think cockney accent as you read it

Forty Fahsand Fevvers on a Frush. (Forty Thousand Feathers on a Thrush)
Now Johnny Brown from London Town was born in Lambeth Walk
And now that Johnny’s growin’ up, they’re teachin’ ‘im to talk
Maybe in society, they think ’is accent’s bad
But down our street, they think that ’e’s a credit to ’is Dad

Johnny Brown was two today, what d’you think they heard ’im say
Forty fahsund fevvers on a frush
No one but a Cockney kid could say it the way that Johnny did
Forty fahsund fevvers on a frush

Mum was so excited, Dad was so delighted
Bells in ev’ry steeple rang out to tell the people
London’s mighty proud today, another Cockney’s learned to say
Forty fahsund fevvers on a frush

Oh, that’s such a delightful story and memory. I’m glad you were able to find the song to share the lyrics and smiles it generates. The fractal is beautiful. The greens and blues are so rich and jewel-like. The pattern and lighting is fantastic. Super work, vienna. :)
