    thank you shanghaiwu, it’s one of my favourites, the contrast of being in the clean blue air above, and the colourless dry devestation below was quite enlivening, the crows were so black that I first saw them as flikering “negative cutouts in space” with crisp flashes of yellow sunlight off their burnished blue/black feathers, they looked not like creatures of this world, so close, but because of the need to stay aloft, for airspeed,...... untouchable
