the creepiness is almost all gone in this one, looks like she and the dog have been walking past for years, the ghosts don’t worry them (though dogs are always twitchy near cemeteries, all those bones…) beautiful work
The dog doesn’t seem to be a willing participant in the old lady’s daily shopping ritual, does it? The distorted perspective of the foreground Church, iron and brick fence and the wall leading into the background are wonderful. The damp – I think it’s damp anyway – grass of the cemetery with that fabulous lighting and provides some great silhouettes in the head-stones and trees and the way the haze melts those same shapes as the view recedes. All great stuff. I want to visit this Church and cemetery; I want to see what lies behind and to the left of the church amidst those bushes and trees. Your clouds, as in all your works incorporating land/sea/scape, is … perfect. It’s images such as this that compelled me to add you to my watch-list.

You have got some very nice work Vicky, just love your sense of humour :-)
Am loving these pictures of edinburgh, so different from real life but instantly recogniseable!
Love your style Vicky; can’t decide whether I prefer this or the dark & spooky version of this place.
If you painted some of the Morningside tenements, would they end up straight? ;-)

Amazing painting …wonderful work !!
Again… what a joy going through your folio!! I had to stop and go get some tea!
And what a joy reading all of your comments about my work! The dinners late already! Really…my daughters asked three times, ‘whens dinner ready’?
