the song of spring
I was intending to photograph the beautiful combination of yellow forsythia and New Zealand Flax beside a small hedge. When I positioned myself to take the shot this little sparrow hopped on to a branch and started to sing right in front of me, so I shifted my focus to the bird, and still enjoy the pleasing bokeh of the foliage behind.

Fantastic capture of this little puffball, Vickie! You’re right about the bokeh, this fellow pops off the screen, and the muted reds make a nice contrast.

wonderful image! so beautiful! Isn’t it funny how you intend to get certain images, and something else presents itself to you that is wonderful?! Great work!
Vicki OBrien replied
Yes I love it when these things happen…especially if the new found subject holds still long enough to change the settings before the shutter opens. Thanks for the compliment!
