The Words to go with the image…
Concealed by a dense layer of misty incense, sits the daisies, confused by their thoughts about their lives. Optimistically, their faces continue to look upwards, instinctively knowing where it is they are meant to look. Their petals may be facing downwards but their faces remain upright, staunch to the end… strong and resillient. Feelings come and go, somehow forcing us to look into the eye of the monster we percieve as being the monster. The strength to continue looking comes from how often we have looked our monsters in the face, how often we have faced our demons in the past. Often, what we percieve to be inpenetrable is often just a thin layer of emotion, a veil of thick smoke, which can be blown away with just the smallest puff of wind… which we can create ourselves, by looking beyond the layers of pain that we shroud ourselves in… and if we are unable to create that breeze ourselves, it is still okay to look and ponder… to be aware that we are aware… and then nature provides for us what we need. We have then allowed nature to take care of us by being aware that what we need to face is there, that we will face that thought, when we are ready and then that thought will be exorcised. And on life goes… knowing that this too will pass… Vicki Ferrari 25th October 2011
