Ooh thats inspiring! The 2d scribble ground and the pokey uppy 3d stuff.
Tell you what – that makes a great image. I like that.
Vytas Gaizutis replied
Thanks!
Vytas Gaizutis replied
Thanks. The 2D background is acrylic painted on canvas. So although this work is ultimately rendered digitally, a huge component is done via traditional means.

amazing, so many questions this image asks. great work. may i ask what 3d program you use?
Vytas Gaizutis replied
Thanks. Very pleased you find the work interesting. For this image (and the others of this particular series) I used Carrara 5. However, it starts with an acrylic on canvas, so it really is a combination of traditional and digital techniques.

Thanks. What thoughts does it inspire for you?

I see chaos funneling into order, or order breaking free into chaos … I see the loops as constraints; or wild jubilant leaps; I see the acrylic pouring into the valley or gushing over the banks…
motion and change…

Incredible, this is an image that evokes emotion, obvious from the comments and the way it moves people!
