I loved the deep yellow-browns of the barren mountains along with the deep blue sky at this altitude (even without a polariser).

Ladakh is a high-altitude desert, so despite the lakes (which are mainly salt-water lakes), there is little to no plant growth in this area (the temperature and altitude might not help either).

So close to heaven that we aren’t sure where we are.
