Well not really. But to read how/why he’s known as the “Elephant God” outside India and Nepal, visit this Link (courtesy Wikipedia).

There were hundreds of Ganesha’s lined up in this dark tent getting ready immersion during the Indian Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi . These were towards the entrance of the tent and probably just uncovered by a prospective customer.
These are the small guys – just about 2ft in height. Most of the idols I saw at this place were 7-15 ft in height.
