Digging in the dirt again …

An old pic of mine from Sep last year. I know I had full intentions of uploading this one …. don’t know how the little bugger got away.

Three people crossing a small tide inlet on Palolem beach in Goa, India.

I liked how the exaggerated perspective of the 10mm imparted the greatest blur to the person closest to me and made the lead man almost still in comparison …. to me, like a movement from fuzziness towards certitude…

Nikon D80
Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm
f/6.7 at 1/6secs and ISO 400 handheld (burst mode – this was the second of the 3 series burst – reasonably sharp).

How wonderful this is!! I especially love the ripples on the floor – so beautiful!

  • Thanks Micklyn – can’t tell, but the force of the water was a lot stronger than it looks – not deep, but quite fast.
This was taken later in the evening from where I took this pic and after that huge cloud had emptied itself – so there was a lot of water rushing down.

Excellent! It’s not often you get landscapes with a strong sense of movement and both the blurred figures as well as the wave patterns, show energy in abundance!

  • Thanks George!
You think so? I think landscapes always benefit from that sense of movement and almost always from the inclusion of a human figure.
