The late afternoon sun sets the shores of the Umiam lake ablaze.
Sunset is around 4:45 PM and so this was about half an hour before sunset with perfect light. Wish I could have gone there early in the morning … there’s a thick blanket of cloud over the water then.
Umiam lake, also called Bara Pani (Big Water), was formed as a result of the damming of the Umiam river.
