Tsangu lake is located at about 4500 meters on the road leading to the Indo-China border.

Should have stopped here on the way up to take pics but didn’t as the mountain on the left was still throwing deep shadows across the lake.

On the way down, I’m afraid I wasn’t too interested at all as I’d got a lovely case of altitude sickness …brought on I suspect as I was already weakened with a fever. Felt really embarrassed about not having the stomach to walk about :-(

  • Thanks Wendi – still felt bad about not getting to this edge of the lake (it had some great prayer flags) but it was over a mile to walk from the far end to this end and I was in no state to make it.
