Yes we do.

This wasn’t taken at the same location as my shot Misty Sunrise. This was a close up taken from the same location as Marina

Stunning capture, love the mist and the rocks, great theme too.

  • Thanks Don. The misty water is what drove me to get the 10-stop. This was my first shoot with the filter – and I’m really looking forward to getting back to this spot soon.

What is that on the rocks Vikram? I am gathering by your title it is some type of rubbish but I can’t make it out…. Wonderful photography by the way, and again, that colouring is amazing! Was this mist or just a rough day?

  • The rocks are covered with green algae. The misty look is what happens to the waves when it’s taken through a 10-stop filter (8 secs exposure in this case). What I was trying to highlight is the piece of red and black cloth that has been thrown into the sea – the rocks were strewn with all sorts of rubbish – very distressing!!

Fantastic work Vikram, love the smokey water effect and the green algae has come up a treat… Love the message too, nice work all round! :))

  • :-)) You like the how the green came up huh? – Glad you do – followed your work-flow tutorials!!!
The message is all mine though as I’m constantly seeing junk dumped into the sea – it’s sometimes quite difficult to compose without getting flotsam or jetsam in the frame.

Excellent work Vikram! Maybe you need to do a whole series of these and publish them in the local paper or something…wonder if they’ll get the message then!?

  • Thanks Ursula. This problem has been highlighted again and again. They’ve run numerous campaigns and undertaken so many ‘clean the beach’ programmes. Just sickening that people continue ……
