More 'poons
Yes, had a bit of a play around with more spoons – love the way they look like some kind of creatures slithering towards something.

Jordan Busson
Love how you described this! It’s exactly what it’s like. Like a school of fish, is how i see it. Really excellent work. Looks great as a print.
Vikram Franklin replied
LOL!! – yep, it does look like a school of very abstract fish!!
Thanks for the great comment!
Kim Calvert
This is amazing, when you first look at it you see so many different things, I thought at first it was bubbles..great work.

Maria Moro
this is wonderful . wave like abstract….excellent work here …..well done
Vikram Franklin replied
Thanks Maria!! Very interesting to read what everyone sees in this shot. So far – fish, bubbles, waves….
Johanne Brunet
This is excellent Vikram! You are so good at creating ambiance with light!
Vikram Franklin replied
Thank you so much Johanne. Learnt y’day that for shooting glass and metallic objects (anything that’s reflective) – the way to light it up is to light up the object they’ll be reflecting and not directly light the metallic object. So in this case it was lighting up a white board held a couple of feet above them.
~ Ademac
Great concept and result…..............excellent treatment, well done.
Vikram Franklin replied
Thank you so much Ademac!!
Pretty much straight out of the camera. It’s just the set-up that takes time.
micklyn
They remind me of dolphins ( : Very graceful. What a weird coincidence to be shooting spoons around the same time…
Vikram Franklin replied
Yes – I suppose they do look like cresting dolphins!!
On the other side of the world and we’re shooting the same subject – LOL!!

Title and image go hand in hand, Vikram! Wasn’t sure WHAT to expect from the thumbnail….but was pleasantly surprised to view this superb art piece!
Vikram Franklin replied
Thank you so much Pam! The title actually also stems from an earlier shot I’d posted which I wasn’t happy with (it’s the last pic in my portfolio now) and gave it the ‘back of the classroom’ treatment.
Much happier with this one and am really pleased you like it as well!!
bhutch7

Bradley Shawn ...
Wonderful lighting, composition, and a very abstract construction and feel to it. I disagree with George. It isn’t a school of dolphins….. I t is obviously a flock of Geese flying south for the winter. Of all the lighting shots, this is probably my favorite.
Vikram Franklin replied
Yipee Yay!!! A comment AND a fav from my dear friend!!
Yes – quite obviously and clearly geese!! No idea what George was thinking :-)
Glad you liked this best – my fav was the simple fork one.
