Has he gone?
I must have disturbed their afternoon siesta – they scampered off and then I saw them peering around a corner waiting for me to walk on. It’s a simple image, but for some reason I really like it.
Used curves to get that slight cross-processed look.

Vikram … this is one of the most adorable images … and what a story it tells!!!! Fabulous, fabulous!!!!! And the image itself, from a technical point of view … is amazing!!!! The bright light blending to the dark, rich blue on the right … and that fabulous texture!!! But the kitties … they look a bit hungry … bless ‘em!!!! Great, great capture!!!!!!! A fave for sure!!! I predict GREAT things for this one!!!!!!
Vikram Franklin replied
:-))))) – thank you dear Lois – that is such a GREAT comment!!
Hope this lives up to your predictions. In any case, this was one I was most satisfied with from that day.

Awwwwwwwww…..! I’m a cat lover so my reaction is instant! Love the title…it so perfectly suits their body language! Love the composition too…often the simple ones are the best :))
Vikram Franklin replied
Glad it appealed to the cat lover in you! Wish they weren’t so scared though – this was at 300mm AND through a fence.
micklyn
Ok, what Lois and Ursula said… and then some more… love the textures on the wall and floor, they add a certain something, and the blues / turquoises are lovely and then there’s the gorgeous twist to the ear of the one on the right… so expressive, so well caught!!
Vikram Franklin replied
Thanks Micklyn – your comments are always so encouraging. I stayed on for a bit trying to make them realise I didn’t mean any harm, but no chance :-(
Shelly Hiebert

Vikram Franklin replied
Thank you so much Jayne! Yeah they were cute – wish they weren’t so skittish – I was quite a distance from them – this was taken at 300mm and through a fence.

TickerGirl
Excellent photo Vikram, and the title goes great with it, I can almost imagine a little bubble cloud over their heads with this thought :)
Vikram Franklin replied
Thanks Monika – I was watching them and wondering if they got the bubble over my head – “Why can’t those cats come a little closer so I can fill the frame with them” – LOL – don’t think they’d have got that.
Ursula Rodgers
lol! People don’t use the expression ‘scaredy cat’ for nothing you know! ;)
Vikram Franklin replied
That’s what I should have called this one! “Scaredy Cat”

This is a fantastic shot Vikram, I love the hint of bluish grey on the ground to compliment the walls. The cats tell such an awesome story here, a story that could go on for days! well done mate, awesome shot.
