LOL!!!! This is a brilliant find my friend. It speaks of the frustrations of life, of the obstacles that we have to over come. Perhaps there is even a hint of the feelings of feeling trapped or restricted. However it is viewed, it is a great shot. The textures, balance and the colours all work to create a stunning composition. :-)

Thank you so much my friend. Made me think and view this in a different way.

Hey! Who nicked the steps??? LOL I’m also intrigued by the 7/1 – Doesn’t that make 7? More intriguingly, how long ago is it since this door was last opened? Great find, and wonderful texture! I hope you added it to the windows and doors group?
Vikram Franklin replied
Hmmm…. farily common though – the 7/1. It’s probably a single building that was then divided into 7 bits with 7 different tenants (each with a different entrance) – hence the 7/1. Strangely enough – that lock didn’t look rusted so I guess they must still use this (I’ve got to stake it out to find out how though)

I’m also intrigued by the little sign in the corner of the door – “Sunday Holidays” – do you know what this was a door to?
Vikram Franklin replied
Wow – I want you computer monitor. Fairly difficult to spot!
I imagine it’s a place for some sort of business. I will stake this place out just to find out
Lois Bryan
WOW!!!! Let’s hope they have a back entrance!!!!! What a glorious find, Vickram … wonderful detail and color … beautiful!!!!
Vikram Franklin replied
Thanks Lois – it was surreal to find an old frozen in time building so close to the glass and concrete office towers that are all around

Now this is one drastic measure to discourage door-to-door salesmen!!!!
Super shot, Vikram….. GREAT TITLE!!!!! (phew, I know!)...amazing textures.
You should put this in numbers…the 7/1 is too funny! Nicely spotted, Vikram! :))
Vikram Franklin replied
LOL – I think the ‘Sunday closed’ means that they are salesmen of some sort.As I explained to George – the 7/1 is fairly standard (my office building is a 16/1). But I will submit this to numbers.
