Wistful

Lucky enough to have this amazing woman choose to marry me.
Even luckier to have her agree to pose for a couple of pics :-) (very camera shy).

Inspired by my Canuck friend Shelly’s awesome portraits with a scarf (you all know her). But I chose low-key rather than high-key.

Wasn’t going to put it up here …. am putting it up to show the contrast in what life eyes can have when compared to my previous pic – No Hope.

Wonderful use of light. Love the way you caught the light in her eyes. Natural light still is best to use.

Abtolutely wonderful portrait, Vikram! She is so beautiful and you have captured her expression so well! I love the contrasts and the sparkle of the little sequins from the scarf which brings out the light in her eyes. Instant favourite for me as well! :-)

How did I miss this one??? Only that Shelly told me about her and how beautiful she is and the shot it….all so true!! I like it in B&W …gives it a uniqueness from the others. Tell Shell about the 50mm lens…she didn’t believe me! :)

The scarf was actually a bit of fabric that was being dumped – she started playing around with it and I saw a photo-op! It was black with silver sequins/embroidery.

You are a lucky man, she’s beautiful and a very good photo subject, and your portraits of her are excellent. I think these pictures also fit in another group I came across, the Frame in Frame (her eyes are beautifully framed by the sari). May you both live together happily ever after!
