The Finale: A Clown Act by Vestque

Installment 5 of 5 of the “For the Masses” Seres.

Laughter resonates from the gargantuan crowds
A Clown Act, cleaver and mystical, capture their attention and hearts
And yet when the show is over, the Clowns true colors show that of gloom
We are never happy, yet we keep up a smiling face
In hopes that others won’t see how much we are hurting…
Keeping them laughing is the key to keeping them happy
That much is easy.
But the same is not true for ourselves…
How can we be happy? That is the one question that lacks an answer.

So yeah, this is it everyone. I’ve never done a full blown series before! By doing this I have learned so much about art, myself, what it means to be an artist and what art really is! I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. You will see more works from me but I think from now on my style will just be a little different…That much I know for sure. Thanks guys for your support!

The above is so well said,Vestque! I’m with you in this and happy that you have been enriched!! Congrats on a series like this one, marvellous work!! :D

  • Aww, Thanks so Much Chow. I really have learned alot. Had to admit I had never considered myself an artist, I didn’t have a style or a motive or anything. I just drew what popped into my head. At least now I’m starting to see my own style and I’m beginning to understand what artwork means to me.

I still have a long way to go though :P

I think it’s great Vestque the way you’ve stretched yourself and come up with something different from your usual style and then in turned learned so much from extending yourself, and grown and changed….. yes, it’s really wonderful girl!

  • Thanks definitely. I spent this entire week lookin at people like you and other wonderful artists, and realized everyone had something so special about them that made them unique. I realized I didn’t have that, so I have to find it. I think this series was my first step. Of course I still have alot to learn, but thank you so much for being so inspiring. :3

wonderful work, the yellow curtains are an amazing feature providing such a great contrast with the tiny figure!

  • Thanks so much Gen. I thought the yellow would look nice as the curtains so I refrained from using it until this last piece. I’m glad it worked out!
