After finishing my Lolita Tako-Chan I realized I had a perfectly good dress design I was going to do nothing with…so I decided to make another porcelain doll. Also I wanted to define the term for those that didn’t know. :3

Lolita (ロリータ・ファッション, ? roriita fasshon) is a fashion subculture in Japan that is primarily influenced by Victorian children’s clothing as well as costumes from the Rococo period. Lolita has made this into a unique fashion by adding gothic and original design elements to the look. From this, Lolita fashion has evolved into several different sub styles and has created a devoted subculture in Japan. The Lolita look consists primarily of a knee length skirt or dress, headdress, blouse, petticoat, knee length socks or stockings and rocking horse or high heel/platform shoes.

Just a girl trying to do right in the world by making it a bit more colorful…

Looks great Ves. I saw a bit on the tube about some of the Japanese fashion cultures. Interesting stuff. They seem to be much more defined there than in most other places.

  • Yeah they sure do!!! I find it all so fascinating. I really want to get there one day, Japan I mean. It would be so awesome to see it for myself :D Thanks Mobii!
