Here Comes Trouble...lol Need some Help Redbubbles...
Ok well…
As you guys know I’m sort of new to all of this art stuff. But as of right now I’m sort of in Crisis mode.
Recently my computer was infected with a really horrible computer virus that nearly destroyed my computer not once, but twice. (It was hiding during my system reboot that restored my system back to the day of purchase- It’s a tricky little bastard)
At the moment I have the virus contained and hopefully destroyed. However it did a number on my system. My largest deviation is my art program. I use Photoshop but as of right now it’s virtually unusable. (A major component was deleted, so I can’t save anything and it can’t be fixed).
Right now I feel lost. I have no job, no money, lol. I do have a bachelors degree, however, I can’t get a job in the Hospital here since my family will be up and moving any time now. But I need a new computer BADLY. So that means I need to make some money!!!
So here’s my plan!
Starting RIGHT NOW, EVERYTHING I have to offer will be on sale. All of my Mark ups will be MARKED DOWN TO 15%!!!
I have only sold 3 works ever on Redbubble but I am determined to make that number grow!
Also I need some advice…
I really need to sell artwork. I think I will start producing some nice posters at our local Kinkos and sell them manually. Do you think that’s the right way to go?

Download gimp…go to gimp.org….it is a free version of photoshop…….I use it to do my backgrounds and stuff. Maybe that will help a bit :)
Have you tried a complete system restore, like, back a few months ago or so? It has rid us of some of the nasty boogers we have gotten.

A system reboot is bringing the system back to the condition it was bought. That can only be done through restarting and pressing f10 at the right moment to bypass Windows. I’ve done that twice. Besides this virus would destroy any other system restore dates except for the day you downloaded the virus. It would even say “Only Day worth Using” or something like that. I’m telling you this virus was bad, lol.

yeah, try gimp….ive been messing with it for a while and its fairly easy to use. it should be a lot easier for you since you know photoshop! :)

hi Vestque….are all your image files backed up on a separate disk somewhere else?
make sure you’ve done that first won’t you…you don’t want to lose your precious designs…

Yup! When I realized the virus was upon me I sat there and through all the craziness copied all of my artwork to my flashdrive. Yeah I might need someone to reformat for me. I don’t know how…

oh dear.. hope you did back up your works? hmm.. i’d suggest you back up all your work.. reformat your pc, and reinstall the photoshop. dunno if that’d help.. OO"
Sure did! But gonna need some help on the reformatting part. Well at the moment my computer is acting ok, so I might not do it, but we’ll see. (I downloaded a new art program) Either way I have all of my artwork copied to my handy dandy flashdrive :D

have you thought about doing commissions? If you have your own website you can post your commissions and have it linked back to your paypal account or something… or a dA gallery… (deviantART)

I actually started my entire drawing carreer on commissions. I’m sort of backwards like that…lol
I might start doing them again, that was fun.
Japu emailed me with some GREAT software, so my stuff is all fantabulous, I’m going to send him ANOTHER thank you email right now, LOL.

Awwwwww, you’re so sweet, lol. Thanks at the moment my computer is so much better! Japu really came to my rescue with some fantastic antivirus/firewall software. Yay!
