Barack Obama is 2008’s “Person of the Year” as declared by TIME Magazine. I think it’s amazing that we were all able to witness history in the making with him winning the 2008 Election. I decided to do a series of Obama portraits in recognition of his achievements.

It’s tough, he has a very distinguished face…full of character. Tis hard to get on paper. lol. I’m still working on him actually, so this probably isn’t the final version :P

Aww, thanks Ani! Tis only the second portrait I’ve ever made. Twas scared that it wouldn’t live up to the quality of the first :P I guess I had nothing to worry about huh

This is amazing…and I am with Ming – such versatility.
Barack Obama made history by becoming the first African American president, but I think he is also the first president to have a parent who was not born in America!
Also, I sincerely look forward to the day when someone’s colour or gender doesn’t come up when they are elected president. You know? That would be a real step forward. But it shall still be some time before that ever happens.

My thoughts exactly. One day it just shouldn’t even matter. However for that to happen we need to have all of our “Firsts” out of the way. So this is one gigantic step forward I think. :D
