Generative art...

There are two types of Generative art: / 1) That which you are in complete control of the parameters / 2) That which you are not in control at all, and you just randomly “let it happen” / I tend to lean towards the latter.

What defines art?

Nothing! / Nothing defines it, and surely this is the point? I suspect many people consider art to be a repreentation of life, events or a statement hidden within paint to conceal it to those who might wish the message silenced. / To me? Well, art is eyecandy. Pretty pictures, interesting shapes and good work. Screw the psycological tripe these critics bang on about. Is it a good picture? Yes, go…

To sign or not to sign, that is the question...

Signing one’s artwork… seems obvious that I should. Problem is I feel it ruins the picture. When working with canvas, it’s not an issue because I can sign it and then paint over, but with digital work, there is nowhere I can hide it… Meh! / Copyrights, signatures …it’s about a lack of trust, really, isn’t it?
