ode to joy

thousand little explosions in the mind
exclamation marks, screams of joy,
like big purple balloons with dancing strings

it almost hurts
to see it and feel it and can’t experience it
because we blink
we lose a little something
we think

oh beauty
ode to joy
come in please
I can endure
you’re the most beautiful
so pure

Born in spring, my name means Spring. I love poetry in all its forms.

The word “poetry” derives from the Latin feminine noun poetria, meaning not “poetry” but “poetess”.

WOW…….Dear Vesna, your words are just beautiful, capturing the fleeting nature of pure joy, the yearning to feel it……and the video is just (insert expletive here) brilliant!!! Now, that is my kind of flash mob……what a gorgeous moment captured, i wish i’d been there… made me cry, the music is so JOYous and one can’t help but be moved. Thank you for sharing both your beautiful words, and the video. xxxxx

When I watch a video I sometimes have the tendency to pause many times throughout it. Indeed when we blink we loose a little something. And so you fragment a relatively short piece of writing into lines so we can enjoy each moment of it. So lovely Vesna.

Fantastic poem Vesna. I read and shake my head in acknowledgement. You must have been in this head of mine. I also love the line, “We lose a little something when we think”. So true.
