A messenger

The path narrows
Greenery eats the light
I approach humbly
Nature’s sanctuary

I touch the tree bark
I admire the personality of the branches
I feel I belong here
Yet I can’t stand still

The path becomes wider
My pockets are full of stories to be told
I exit as a messenger
Of the silent rooted presence

Born in spring, my name means Spring. I love poetry in all its forms.

The word “poetry” derives from the Latin feminine noun poetria, meaning not “poetry” but “poetess”.

It is our connection Vesna as living beings with all living things and you have given us all a clear reading of presence. Lovely

  • Hi Donna, It’s nice to feel the connection on every level
I was just thinking how we, humans, are always on the move…

It is a pity to leave some place when we wish to be in touch with it more. Luckily memories/stories can be translated to art and writings that can be kept forever.

  • I think that’s the message I wanted to pass, thank you dear Mui-Ling for saying it out loud:)

I can relate to this so much, especially the feeling of belonging in nature. As much as I don’t like ot admit it, I have often felt far more at home around animals and greenery than around my two-legged cousins!

  • Yes, i know the feeling:)
Thank you so much for bring here, I appreciate it more than I can express
