I shot this “hand-held”. Well without a tripod. I shot it through some railings with the camera braced against a metal rail. In the post production processing I actually reduced the exposure by 1/2 a stop and darkened the highlights in order to maintain the depth of the shadow and bring out the detail in the brightest parts of the flying fire.

It is pretty amazing how far the flaming torches traveled in 1/3 of a second!
