These harebells are in the sand hills near Rossbeg in County Donegal, Ireland.
The harebell as the name suggests is a bell-shaped flower. Its botanical name is: “Campanula Rotundifolia”.
The harebell is a common wildflower in areas of dry grassland, it grows on both acidic and alkaline soils.
The photograph also has lots of other wildflowers including: eyebright (the tiny white ones), wild sea thyme (purple), birds-foot trefoil (yellow), dandelions, clover (the tiny banana-bunch like flowers) and lady’s bedstraw (yellow beads front left).
