The Glen River flows through the village of Carrick, (in South West Donegal, Ireland) into Teelin Bay.
This footbridge crosses the river to a footpath leading, in one direction, back to Carrick and in the other heads down river past the small waterfall much beloved by the local anglers.
The hill in the top right of the photograph is Slieve League the other side of which falls into the sea with the highest sea-cliffs in Europe. One of Ireland’s premier tourist attractions, it is a popular stopping off point for tourists and hill-walkers.
This is part of my new postcard range. You can follow on to another gorgeous Very Ireland Post card .
