The Glen River flows through the village of Carrick, (in South West Donegal, Ireland) into Teelin Bay.

This panorama was shot on a gloriously sunny day, on (or in fact on a hump just above) a foot path that runs alongside the Glen River from the village of Carrick to a spot, popular with anglers about a mile down stream, just past a small waterfall.

This panorama was taken just before the footbridge where I have also made a panorama.

The hill in the top left of the photograph is Slieve League the other side of which falls into the sea with the highest sea-cliffs in Europe One of Ireland’s premier tourist attractions, it is a popular stopping off point for tourists and hill-walkers.

beautiful! it was surely a gorgeous day ;)

  • Manon, thank you! Yes it was a gorgeous day. I remember it well because we got soaked by rain while hillwalking the previous day. I have had this panorama on disk for a while it was only when I was processing this summer’s photographs from that area that I remembered it.

Looks brilliant as a duvet cover, George. Hope you sell lots. I made one, and the file was so big my computer nearly gasped it’s last breath, LOL. x
