the room dark and cold
a faint point of light emanates
from an unknown electrical device.
Shuffling out the back door
cushioning it closed,
still not a sound
I look up to the onyx sky;
My friend the moon
does not grace me with its company
but thats ok
gives me more time for
my other friends; the stars
the stars arent static tonight
they pulse and dance,
relishing the darker night.
In the resounding silence
I hear my own music
adagio on strings
lilting through the airwaves
letting me drift and swirl
walking in the stars
dreaming in clouds
crossing the boundaries
of divinity and humanity
My music finishes and fades
the orchestra leaves the stage
The light dew of peace
spreads its blanket over me
Subdued, (en)lightened
happy and calm
