This piece was inspired by experiences in forest blockades in Australia, but was first created while traveling and studying art in Thailand in 2007.From my 2008 exhibition ‘The World Tree’

My 12-year-old was asked by her teacher to find a piece of art that she liked. She found your tree and absolutely loves it. She doesn’t ask for much because I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend. I just ordered this as a matted print for her … I’ll give it to her for Christmas, and I know she’ll cherish it forever.
