In response to your specific request Mariette: this photograph does not appeal to my artistic sensibilities because it is has no context. You know who Dante is, so it has meaning for you, but I do not. It is a close-up of a nose in need of cleaning and a tongue. There needs to be more in the frame to capture my positive attention. If this is a cropped image and you have the whole face, try cropping it again so we see the eyes and the nose only. Or shoot it again with the whole face and crop anew. With the eyes we at least get expression, not a one-dimensional image. :) I am not normally this critical, but you did ask for critical comments, and I think your point was well made. :))
