We all have places where we can relax and unwind that exist in real life or in our mind. It is nice to imagine a garden like that with all bright colours and wonderful smells, blue skies above and sunshine softly caressing the leaves and stones of the walls.

This is wonderful work …such vibrant colors. The secret Garden was one of my favorite books as a child and this is just how I imagined it would look…a place of beauty, safety and tranquility. Lovely painting :) :)

  • Thanks Valentina

It’s is the exact story I was thinking of when I painted this!
I am thinking to paint another picture on O.Henry’s “Last leaf” next. It’s another one of the moving childhood stories.
BTW- I stubled upon your profile couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved your “Renovators Delight” – that’s exactly how I feel sometimes.
And, to continue your Space achivement theme – my family name is 1 letter different from that of Yelena Kondakova’s. “first woman to make a long-duration spaceflight”

    space travellers unite! He he

What a lovely response .Yes i think us space travelers need to unite. Thank you so much for your comments about my poem. I think those of us who are creative can sometimes appear to others (through our life choices) to somehow not be “doing” all the other things grown-ups are meant to and can sometimes be vulnerable to the criticism of all the left brain thinkers out there ;). i never heard of Yelena Kodakova so thank you for this new bit of information (I like collecting info about history :) ) I look froward to your future work. You are very gifted and I have Favorited some of your other works . :):)xo

  • Thank you :-)
