the selective color works really well here. not overdone, but effective non the less. for me you have captured the essence of a station perfectly.

  • Thanks for the analysis J.K. – appreciated as always

Hey, well done Vedran! A nicely placed blur in the foreground adds the sense of motion to this well-composed thematic piece!

  • Thanks ElRobbo – it took quite a few shots to get the motion blur I was happy with. Probably would have kept shooting if I wasn’t ushered away by the security :)

Now you’ve got the station staked out, where’s your next port of call, Vedran? I’m impressed that you caught the foreground blur keeping the back fairly static – and with a large DOF! Great stuff!

  • the interesting thing is that I had two cops walk past me and look at me (tripod set up, remote in hand, camera firing) and they didn’t say a thing – it was a railways employee that chased me away.

A tripod and a fairly small ap was what got the DOF – I think I used f8 or f10 for this shot. Thanks for your comments

Nice shot . the colouring is really good.

  • Thanks ccrcats – the coulouring part was quite painstaking due to the nature of the shapes I was colouring – it took quite a while. Thanks for looking in

the sign, comp, movement and selective coloring are wonderful – so awful that we have problems making such great art!
